SigmaRoc PLC - London-based construction materials - Says trading remains in line with management expectations, ahead of annual results on March 23. Sales to Russia were minimal for SigmaRoc and now have ended completely, it says, while it never has had sales to Ukraine.

Sadly I'm out.

Because of Putin contagion fears I have for the Baltic states and Finland.

Russia and Finland have a poor history and Finland has last week said it wants to join NATO

How much impact will the energy costs, as a result of mad Vlad's affect future Sigmaroc profits.

Is it significant?

John Rosier indicated he had topped up with Sigmaroc today, indicating at around 66p it's valued just under 10 X forecast earnings. Looks like some big buys coming through now.

Yes, absolutely. I don’t have any accurate guesses for the impact that will have on the bottom line. I believe Russian sales comprise 0.3% of the group revenue.

I have assumed the recent weakness is due to exposure to high energy costs as it must be very energy intensive

No significant exposure to Ukraine/Russia troubles as far as I can ascertain. Nordkalk are geographically close but not got much revenue from there. Not sure about quarries/supply chain.

Company is growing crazy, a divident now makes no sense, but a dividend will be instslled once is more matured as the company makes good cash

A dividend would take us away from the stated mission of the company.

Dividend? I bought SRC for its growth potential, not for income so I would prefer to see any surplus cash being used to develop products and to finance acquisitions. I doubt a small dividend would attract much interest from institutions.

What do posters think about the possibility of a dividend for 2021?
I hadn't really expected one but would be a pleasant surprise.
A 1p divi would only cost around £6m and would put SRC on the radar of income funds and the wider market.
I know the Company focus is to use cash generation to buy businesses but a £6m divi would not make much of a dent in the cashpile.
