03/6/2009 13:52 | Had my official letter from Hargreaves Lansdown today basically stating that after the 15th June at noon the offer is closed. They advise selling and not continuing to hold as after the offer period concludes the share could totally de-list and youre screwed basically and at the mercy of the ruskies. On their advise im definetly selling! Good luck all. | dealer1972
03/6/2009 13:42 | Steve73: Will do. Like the look of PTR and just got in there. Results due tomorrow according to the thread (e-mail from the Co). Could be fun. | cmabey
03/6/2009 13:12 | so if they now own 28.49% and a lot of the brokers are not going to sell shares till the last day of the offer, that would definitely take Gazprom well over 30%, so would Gazprom then have to make a full offer for Sibir? | gatdecor
03/6/2009 13:01 | Holding in the Company 20-6.-03.0 The Company was notified on 2 June 2009 that following recent acquisitions of shares, Open Joint Stock Company "Gazprom Neft" now holds 110,149,780 ordinary issued 10p shares ("Ordinary Shares"), representing an interest of 28.49 per cent. of the Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue. | gatdecor
03/6/2009 10:28 | cm, I missed XEL's initial rise, and am still around breakeven, but not too late to get in I've been told. For a quick and dirty way to look at most of the oil co's take a look at my ZZZ thread. | steve73
03/6/2009 10:18 | Steve73: Damn. I was looking at XEL back in March but went off my radar... just seen where it is now :-( Am very happily in AFR, and in E.Africa with TRP since over a year & a bit of DPL. Also CHAR but share price is under-performing imo especially as farmout just agreed with PetroBras. Otherwise, might have a pop at PCI - indicators look ok. Cheers and GL. | cmabey
03/6/2009 09:58 | cmabey, I'm already recently in both UEN and MTA & confident. Also FRR - more fool I! AFR doing well recently, where's the next W African success going to be? Also, XEL was tipped recently so I'm dabbling my (big) toe there as well. I was in PCI in 2004/5 era and made a couple of k then. Sorry for OT, but it's probably as good a place as any to discuss what to do with the (unexpected) SBE proceeds....? | steve73

02/6/2009 18:23 | Possibly an arab bidder who cashed up barclays??? | cojonesjr
02/6/2009 16:39 | Steve73: Snap. I may hang on another week in case another bidder comes out of the woodwork, but given who they would be up against I doubt it. Will take a look at PTR. If you're not already on the UEN rollercoaster then that's still worth a punt at the current price imo as potential upside is huge. Most of my oilys are in Africa though which is probably not a giant step in the direction of security. Having said that though am looking at MTA - another punt I know but indicators are good and if the current POO and mood continue north then they might get their funding sorted. GL. | cmabey
02/6/2009 15:02 | Steve,PCI for sure. Algeria is comparatively safe. | hermana
02/6/2009 14:49 | cmabey, e-mail from I-D just now advising I can now accept on-line. So, although not as much as I'd like (or think we're currently worth) I'll think I'll take the cash on offer just to be sure. Now, where to invest in next? I'm thinking PTR, or maybe stay away from Russia for a while..... | steve73
02/6/2009 11:42 | Steve73: Sure there must be others that don't hang around here. I have no intention of missing this offer, so they'd better move before the end of the week. Cheers. | cmabey
02/6/2009 11:24 | thanks cmabey, Similar story to what they e-m'd me yesterday. Looks like just u & me with I-D then. | steve73
02/6/2009 10:29 | IDealing update. Had no answer to my e-mail so just called. They claim to have had no official communication regarding procedures but say that their Corporate Actions team are aware of the situation and holders will receive an e-mail when they are ready to deal with it. Will chase again Thursday if no news by then. | cmabey
02/6/2009 10:06 | Thankyou Bohemia , have done it alredy with your help. Kind Regards S. | simferopol
02/6/2009 09:41 | Received the acceptance forms electronically from Hoodless yesterday. Replied today and accepted the offer. Am not clear when the money will be paid into my trading account. camlad | camiladasi
02/6/2009 09:29 | Thanks willessa. My IG bet is only about 1/6 of the size of the real shares I own in SBE, so it wouldn't've been the end of the world if spreadbets didn't work out the same way. But now you've confirmed they do, that's extra cash coming my way which I hadn't budgeted for... thank you Gazprom! | 1nf3rn0
02/6/2009 08:38 | FOR IG - They will accept the offer. Their broker is not affiliated with Rennaisance so can't sell now which is a bit annoying. So should have cash by end of month. And any (unlikely) counter bids in for free. One good bit - margin has been reduced from 100% to 10%. | willessa
02/6/2009 08:02 | I'm with Jarvis investments.I have just phoned them and they say that they have received no documentation from the registrars. What can I do? | squintyflinty
01/6/2009 23:41 | For Barclays Stockbrokers received corporate actions docs today, but you can phone or go online and send instructon to sell, confirmation by return email. Last day is 12 June, so I'll be waiting a while as don't need to post. | yf23_1
01/6/2009 19:59 | Thanks for sharing the info Sanuk. Most appreciated. S. | steveofsw19
01/6/2009 19:31 | sanuk hope so, myself phoned three times but no result but had a result with hoodless sold over the phone. | thumper1
01/6/2009 15:58 | Just had selftrade on the phone, they said the paperwork is going out electronically shortly and as it's a recommended offer, even if i don't get the paperwork or don't fill it in, they would sell my holding anyway on my behalf, which suits me as i go to greece for 2 weeks on thursday....result. | sanuk |
