31/1/2009 19:19 | I see 2 x 100k sells at 15:15 and 15:16, reported an hour late. Causing the fall from 190 to 172. It doesnt matter really, good volume, great news. | spursmatt99
31/1/2009 18:21 | Fridays news is very important in the overall scheme of things Josels. Long term investors will indeed note the importance of it. I see two 100,000shs trades were bought at 175p on Friday at 3:56 and 3:57pm, just 1.5 hrs after that important news. Thats the indicator of scale of the news imho... time will tell. :p | leeson31
31/1/2009 18:18 | This company is the best performer of my portfolio, I just was lucky when I bought them really cheap. I do not know much about it but I would like to keep them for many years based on the fact that seems that the £ is going south and the oil has good long term prospects. Any thoughts? | josels
31/1/2009 11:27 | there is no way Mr T will be allowed to dump 22% of SBE's stock on the open market. I don't believe he would do that and if he did he wouldn't get a good price as the mkt would simply sell off in anticipation of that event. i suspect he will negotiate a private deal behind closed doors. either there is nothing to ge gained by dumping a shed load of stock on a market that simply won't buy them at current prices. even an o'level economics student would tell you that. | schlemiel
31/1/2009 11:13 | So Coco, you think that the circular to be published next week will be about a bid? Not some alternative way of bailing Mr. T out or an announcement that he has forfeited his shares to his bankers, or that he has had to sell in the market? | ammons
31/1/2009 10:07 | and what price a bid I ask myself ;O) | abcd1234
31/1/2009 08:06 | Mr Cameron must have thought that in the longer run it was in the companies best interest at that time, Obviously the outcome has changed and circumstances over the last two months have changed hence the change of direction, I personally see Mr Camerons integrity intact he has done the company proud for many years now and i agree with his "difficult decisions in the boardroom" Another thought is who (apart from me LOL)- picked up the millions of shares traded at the lows back in December - this was never discussed -be prepared for a bid me seriously thinks. All the problems have gone away and Mkt cap 750 million and alot more going for it than IEC which went for a similar price and barley producing dont forget it also has cash from the station deals etc - is highly cash generative - has a refinary to salavitate over and news will just be around the corner on the Kolt blocks Undervalued before MASSIVELY under valued now !!!!! Regards Coco Regards Coco | coco
31/1/2009 06:47 | No opinions on the position of Mr. Cameron who backed the original deal? | ammons
31/1/2009 00:08 | A great result. The forced real estate purchase was a sham and this is a victory for common sense and for russian business integrity. Was sure some compromise was going to be forced through, but instead fairness prevailed and the minority shareholder did not get screwed. | miamisteve
30/1/2009 22:03 | If I had 150 million I would buy them - anyone have a friendly bank manager ?? | coco
30/1/2009 22:01 | I think that if Chigrinsky has to part with his shares then Gazprom, Moscow city or Shell will snaffle them up lets face it your talking only 150 million for his shares - absolute peanuts in the scheme of things Regards Coco | coco
30/1/2009 21:55 | Does this mean that Chigirinsky will need to sell a lot of shares to raise the cash for his creditors.....i can see Mondays gap up being short lived. Anyone care to add ?? | davidwilkin
30/1/2009 20:33 | Market cap 727 million, the market is wrong again this should not be below a fiver if people are selling then they need there heads testing - can anyone tell me any other company with the assets, production,ca Regards Coco | coco
30/1/2009 18:52 | It made the "what not to buy" list at 12, and by 1430 the author was kicking himself! lol Nice profit today. In at 135 out at 185. May head up a lot more tho. Will watch with interest. | spursmatt99
30/1/2009 18:28 | I sold some of mine @ 169p in the last spike. Hoped for a buy back at a squid. Not to be. unless Mr. T is forced to sell his shares to met his debt obligations......... I wonder where this development leaves Mr. Cameroon who backed the purchase....... | ammons
30/1/2009 16:58 | nice couple of 100,000 shs trades posted, at 175p at 15:56 and 15:57pm. obviously buys. | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:44 | aye abcd1234, the UT was 38,835 at 188p ! MLSB finished of at 430pm on the bid at 179.25. great stuff. | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:42 | green line = 130 moving day average. I reckon the share price could reach 248p before taking a breather, before reaching the 130 mda, subject to weekend press of todays rns, and a bit of sentiment returning. Long term Downward trend broken, and the share price reaching the 248p mark is a key figure when the share price trended down. Good luck. | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:42 | that was a strong close in the auction :O) | abcd1234
30/1/2009 16:32 | oh well, have a great weekend folks. lets hope for some good upward action on Monday. the share price goign up I mean, of course. :-) | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:27 | lots of bids comign in to prop up the share price 4 mins to go b4 close.oooowww :p | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:19 | good to hear rbs went well for you! a doubler i believe for you :p bad one on IVE mate. i reckon oilers wil be back in due course - subject to oil spot prices of course.. sibir has to be tremndous value, considerign todays rns! cheers | leeson31
30/1/2009 16:17 | I'm good matey thks, Not benn bad week myself on RBS, but IVE susp today was a bummer but, as I said at the time, it was always going to be 100% or nothing. Oilers not done much for me this week but hey, banked some of my RBs profits so can now enjoy the w/end once more. Have a good one yourself. Dorset | dorset64 |
