20/1/2009 21:27 | Glad you are still here. At this stage it's probably anybody's guess what will be disclosed at the next meeting, but one thing I am sure of is that there appeared to be a determination to hammer out a better deal for shareholders that would keep Mr Ts shares off the market and him on board if not on the board. Kasaev I think is going to be the one to pull a deal together. It was a very good sign that Tchigrinski withdrew from re-election as it underscored his genuine intentions and from discussion with him I learned that he will remain in the background but working as hard as ever for the company. The Russian element to Sibir is crucial and I think that is not fully understood by someone who has not worked there. At this stage I suppose it's not surprising that the price has drifted down a bit with all that's going on in the market but there won't be much chance to get back in at these levels once the property issue has been dealt with. The refinery and petrol stations are an enormous help whilst the oil price falls because they are actually able to increase their margins. Mr Cameron was true to his word about repaying expenses for attending the last AGM when the vote on the property had to be delayed and I will be receiving my cheque soon! Nice people that keep to their word and a great team. I won't be missing the next meeting. One last thing; the very hard weather will be a great help to the Koltogorsky exploration and that's where the big money is. Should be coming on stream nicely when the oil price recovers, and then quite a few of those petrol stations should have been upgraded and pumping gas into the ever expanding Moscow traffic. Boy it almost makes me think my pension might come on stream just when its needed. | a3477681

16/1/2009 13:21 | am not short - continue to hold - am certain there is extremely good value here provided shareholder rights are respected otherwise dicount could stay vast. | its the oxman
16/1/2009 12:20 | ammons: I get tempted to trade too, especially when the price gets stuck for a week but the reason I resist selling even a few is that I am sure there is value here and far above its present level. I called Sibir today because I wish to attend the delayed EGM and was told it is likely to be end of Jan to early Feb when an announcement on the property purchase and the vote will take place. At the last meeting Mr Kasaev promised to do all he could to sort out the property question, which now involves the MOGC's opinion on valuation, and he strongly expressed his determination to protect his business reputation. If its within his power I was convinced he will. If one is either clever and or lucky to judge it right trading is worth it. However I would just hate to get caught out by a favourable announcement so I am lazy and hold. Wish you luck but wish myself that too! | a3477681
16/1/2009 12:05 | Oxman I take it your short - lol | coco
16/1/2009 11:06 | if they buy property we see sub 100p again so lets hope they don't | its the oxman
15/1/2009 18:44 | You might be right regarding my wait but I am still hopefull of a pullback to a squid or so. I couldn't let a doubling of the share price and more (compared to my buying price) go by without selling some. I must admit, I wish they'd hurry up re the decision on the property so we all know where we stand. | ammons
15/1/2009 08:48 | £214k buy (114 +27 k shares) after hours last night. Maybe you will need to wait a bit more than you think ammons as there are still plenty of buyers even in these market conditions. Sometime this month there should be some news from the company regarding the property I think and hopefully that will be a positive statement. There are still wealthy Russians out there with with stacks of cash..eg Kaka purchase for Man City. | a3477681
14/1/2009 17:53 | Looks like I'll be rejoining the party verrry shortly. Closed today at c£1.33. Only another 30p more to go.......... | ammons
13/1/2009 08:39 | Always been volatile which makes it harder to decide whether to hold for the value or follow the moves. I favour holding on. I believe in the company. | a3477681

12/1/2009 22:03 | I am still around and waiting for that anxious £2.60 prediction of yours Regards, Harryh05 | harryh05
12/1/2009 21:56 | It cant go up 20% everyday Harry. I think we pause for breath and consolidate around here - depending on what the wider market is going to do - I will be buying on dips from here.I thought you had sold up and left Harry, good to see your still around. Regards Coco | coco
12/1/2009 21:50 | where are we heading COCO?. SBE appears to have gone a bit stale | harryh05
12/1/2009 21:45 | I see that the BP. service stations information has been removed from the SBE web site, money must be due any moment now. Regards Coco | coco
09/1/2009 08:36 | 1nf3rn0 That seems a good indicator. I am also interested in the uncrossing trade when it ends higher than the last trades. Do you think this has any significance. It happened quite frequently on the climb up. | a3477681 |
