Family will also be very keen on dividend being reinstated and at a significant level. Good aspect of owning a family oriented stock

I think the family still own around 50% of the shares - they wont want to see their holding diluted.

They've had about 50 million shares for a while and haven't placed recently as far as I understand it. I may be wrong though.

It's the dividend potential that I like here. If they can get back to 10p to 20p per annum in a few years time and can continue then it makes a great pension stock at 53p.

You know that for most of its history ShoeZone sort of traded around about £1.50 a share.

Has there been an issue of shares recently or is all (eg 100%) of the fall related to the pandemic?

If no new issue of shares this is a three bagger from here - at least it looks that way on paper.

Currently trading at NAV value. The other "hot" small retailer - The Works WRKS - trade at 3 times its NAV value. So on paper it looks like ShoeZone, with the boom in Doc Martens is in the driving seat!!!

(ps Childrens wellington Boot sales going through the roof round here).

Earnings per share were 19.0p in the report in 2019

Come on be serious. I'm a large holder of shoe zone but making out it should have a market cap of £3billion is just stupid and no-one can possibly take you seriously...

If Doc Martens is £5bn then it would be more like a 200 bagger from here. lol.

I guess they would have to start making shoes though.

Only four weeks from now the outlook will look a lot more positive, so get in while you can because it will quickly be back to around 200p.

i think they have 50 big box stores.

Its the way to go as they sell the likes of Kickers, Hush-puppies etc which are far more valuable.
