Taking the recent low of 2950 and today's high of 3250, that's a 10% rally in 2 days.

Is something afoot perhaps :)

There it is:

So we're currently having takeover speculation rumours at the rate of 1+ a month in 2018.

The suggestion going around the day trading circuit now, on which we have absolutely no information whatsoever, is Takeda. As in the Japanese pharma.

Would be a huge deal for Takeda, which I though preferred partnerships and sub $1bn stuff. But we note it here, as I say, for completeness.

Shire climbed on the announcement that it and biotechnology company NanoMedSyn have entered into a preclinical research collaboration to evaluate a potential enzyme replacement therapy using NanoMedSyn's proprietary synthetic derivatives named AMFA.

You can ridicule him all you want but he called Spire's takeover correct last year - which I benefited from. Also Aveva. Vectura another IMO. ITV and Shire perennial speculation but one day....His technical analysis is also sound.

Well Zak Mir's latest blog also seems to suggest the Shire BOD and Ornskov are keeping bids quiet and not disclosing them. M&A rumours were rife at 5000p but no one wants to buy even at 2900p?? Don't buy it. They want to keep their huge salaries and bonuses.
