I'm afraid VB is out of touch with not only his shareholders but our Company as well.

Time for the big brush.

Terrible under performance vs BP since Q2 results. Bp is catching up on YTD performance against Shell and that is with $25bn that bp took. Surprised how Shell's major shareholders are not complaining about lack of dividends and higher buybacks given the inflation adjusted poor returns. Shell employees got their bonuses and inflation adjusted pays, while shareholders not so much?

oh! and sue the pension funds for investing in such a terrible company and giving them a good pension..

lol. Also, South Korea could send a missile over North Korea just to add to the flavour. Lol.

Lol. I’m so concerned about the security of England. I think England should fire missiles over Scotland, Ireland and Wales just to make sure we have security. Lol.

Yesterday electricity prices shocked againAUGUST 17, 2022 7 COMMENTSYesterday U.K. wholesale electricity prices were at 414 euros a MW hour . In Germany, France and Italy they hit Euros 465 a ME hour. This  is a tenfold rise on a year ago.The U.K. has been linked into the European market by interconnectors and is often a net importer thanks to the policy of keeping us short of capacity. This summer we have a small surplus to export but the winter may well prove more difficult. The  continent is facing a damaging storm of problems. The wind often does not blow much, hobbling  the windfarms when we have high pressure and no westerly winds. The low level of water in reservoirs and rivers has hit renewable  power from hydro in Norway, Italy, Spain and elsewhere . The French nuclear fleet has maintenance issues at several plants and is short of cooling water to enable them to run at others. Germany has closed three of her remaining six nuclear stations and is still planning the closure of the rest by end year. The continent is racing to get Russian gas out of its system before Russia throttles the supply taps further.Too little attention has been paid to security of supply and too much trust has been placed in renewables which do not always deliver. The U.K. has just shut one of its nuclear stations and plans to close all but one of the rest this decade. Even allowing for Hinckley C coming on stream we will end the decade with less nuclear than we began. That is why we need to keep all our gas plants and get more domestic gas out of the ground. On a bad day for wind the U.K. gets under 2% of its electricity and well under 1% of its energy from wind turbines.... John Redwood

The United States is far more of a communist and corrupt country then Russia is today.

On a personal level one is far more free, free from government interference in Russia then one is in the United States or most of Europe.

all could have been sorted regarding Ukraine back in 2014 but the yanks stuck their oar in.

Again a long way from USA own borders

They cause problems far away so that their domestic problems are less so apparent

Soon they will be less able to do so

As for chinese military ,they are apt and can wait until like the yanks

Waldron I can see where you are coming from. But the Chinese story is different from Ukraine. As far as I can see originally the Chinese leaders fled to Taiwan. That means that China ultimately belongs to the Taiwan leaders.

The yanks are there causing the problem

China thinks long term and the yanks provoke here, there and everywhere

The more the USA falls apart the more it will cause the worlds problems

Lol. China wishes to protect its borders by firing missiles over Taiwan. Lol. So why doesn’t Taiwan protect its borders by firing missiles over China? Perhaps it needs some encouragement from the USA who will provide that encouragement.

Chuckle

Russia and China just wish to protect their borders where the yanks wish to cause
problems far from their homelands

Problems in the USA WILL SOON BE APPARENT so they will wish to cause trouble elsewhere which has not stopped them since the years after the end of W11

Waldron, how can you be sure? I believe in the US advanced technology over the despot countries like Russia and China who want to take over the world.

I’m pretty sure that the US will strike Russia first and decimate it. So some of us will survive at least.
