Each $100 rise in gold should be worth around 1p to the SHG price. We should go to 17p today.

It could easily be going to a market maker who is drip feeding it to retail. There does not have to be a single large buyer. That said, the after market trade is somewhat ambiguous in its nature!

NAV - for any seller there is a buyer, question is who is picking up shareholding being reduced by Sustainable Capital?

MF - if SHG management though news releases can get share price up to say 20-25p over the next few months then say a 25% premium then you would have 25p-30p or so...far too low as hedge will be cleared by end of the year and with POG over $2000 SHG share price should be well over that figure

BT

Why do you assume that late trade is a buy and not just Sustainable Capital continuing to reduce?

BogotaTrader. What would you consider as an offer?

3.9 mln late reported trade - who is accumulating Shanta shares? If a new UK institution they would have reported crossings thresholds already.

If it is a Chinese buyer they don't give a damn about rules and regulations and reporting requirements here.....I could be wrong but I sense a large buyer is slowly accumulating and if it is a hostile party they will only declare their hand with an offer for the company.

If this is the case and it is a Chinese party then they will make a lowball offer seriously undervaluing the company. We need SHG to stay independent for the tremendous price upside it offers on the back of a serious revaluation of the POG etc

I have been around the block to many times to take offence, I just filter the idiots as they never post any thing useful to read, but I do like good banter

Chestnuts,

I did wonder whether you were being tongue cheek. My apologies. Your sense of humour is obviously too brutal for my delicate sensibilities!

Here here. It's quite unsettling how some people think that if share don't go up in a straight line there's something wrong.

Well said JC2706......I do wonder why people take these things so seriously all the time....especially with all the truly awful stuff going on in the world.....just watched the news about a Police Officer who was dragged behind a car by some car thieves....he died and they've just been convicted of manslaughter, somehow it's deemed not to be murder!....now that's worth getting upset about.....not whether Shanta's hedge needs cutting!....atb

Shanta rests for a couple of days and the world is coming to an end, so all those who don’t like shanta should sell, and al those people who have bought and never did there research should keep quiet as they are showing there ignorance,
And all those who think gold won’t go any higher should sell,
And all those who have trimmed there wives favourite bush should also keep quiet
