05/11/2019 15:55 | A nice bowl forming again. What a good little goldie this has been, Consistent rise since the year begun despite poster negativity from time to time. | hazl
05/11/2019 14:58 | I would caution about getting too carried away by the VAT refund. We have had a little before and it was not followed up. If the latest receipt is the first of many then great. Otherwise I suggest waiting. Meanwhile, of course, we should see a continued improvement with regards the debt situation going into 2020 which VAT refunds would only accelerate. | jc2706
05/11/2019 14:55 | But just think of all the wisdom that has been lost..... Nope, I can't either. | jc2706
05/11/2019 14:06 | Sod, AG, let's focus on SHG! Just nice not to have to worry about all AG's posts!! Main thing is new news on the IPO and hopefully some more VAT refunds before Xmas....GLA | qs99
05/11/2019 11:02 | AG appears to have individually deleted 2,067 (all) of his posts from this thread but does not appear to have done the same across other company threads he posted on. So perhaps Shanta has made a complaint. It would certainly have taken a considerable effort to wade through all the posts here, so presumably there has been a good reason to do so. | chipperfrd
05/11/2019 07:46 | Roguetreader, I can see his posts from September and earlier. I suspect that the company did complain and they removed a few. It is hardly surprising given the fact that his statements could certainly be considered libelous. | jc2706
04/11/2019 19:40 | assuming Shanta will receive the remaining $4.8m VAT paid in 2019 and can avoid paying VAT for Nov and Dec 2019, we should see an additional net profit of $7.4m comparing to last year. That's almost 1p per share...👍 | 338
04/11/2019 17:54 | The current VAT Receivable balance has reduced to US$26.6 million as of 31 October 2019. If the $1.4m has been paid towards that balance as a whole then that is great news but needs further information to get this moving. | risa5
04/11/2019 17:50 | JC 'All' his posts on this thread have been effectively deleted and he hasn't made a post since 11/10 anywhere. I think the Company may have made a complaint. | roguetreader
04/11/2019 17:24 | He hasn't posted for over 3 weeks and his last few posts have been deleted. I can't remember what they said (I assume that they were the usual tosh) but I would hope that he is ok. Considering he seems to have devoted every waking hour for years to rubbishing Shanta, it is very unusual. | jc2706
04/11/2019 16:50 | jasper That $300 million settlement is not being paid in one hit and only a fraction to start with. I believe that consignment held at the docks will form part of the monies owed to the TZ government. I also expect to hear further comment from Shanta fairly soon. "Further information will be communicated as appropriate." | redhill
04/11/2019 16:19 | Really? ADVFN don't usually ban people. You have to suspect that the company themselves may have made a complaint for that to happen. | jc2706
04/11/2019 15:58 | AG can transform the username to "novembergloop"... :) | 338
04/11/2019 15:54 | I think AG has been give the boot by ADVFN | roguetreader
04/11/2019 15:26 | Where is AG by the way? I would have thought that he would be all over this today. | jc2706
04/11/2019 15:26 | There was nothing wrong with the hedge. Indeed, I would suggest that it was necessary. The surprising thing was then increasing it after they started to reduce it. | jc2706
04/11/2019 15:23 | I think the market reaction is based on the principle that 'one swallow does not a summer make'. If this is the first of several such announcements then I suspect that the reaction will be more favourable. | jc2706
04/11/2019 14:57 | 5% payback. Considering they have settled with Barrick for over $300m I would have expected a bigger amount and so does the market it would seem. Better than nothing I suppose but they will get it back over the next 2 years! More pressure needed now that that the door has been marginally opened. | jasper2712
04/11/2019 13:49 | Hedged volume has reduced... Just wait for next update on reserve and drillings | 338
04/11/2019 13:47 | Agree , the hedge has strangled this .Bad judgement | juju44
04/11/2019 12:58 | Moves on news ... the wrong way ! I get shot down when I mention this but IMHO this goes nowhere until the hedge is done and dusted . Or the 24M owed in VAT is settled ... come on guys they got a fraction . | kennyp52
04/11/2019 09:36 | Seems to be similar in amount to the last VAT repayment which paid over 2 years ago. We can only hope that questions are now being asked as to when the rest will be paid. I hope the TZ government don't see this as " this will keep them quiet for a short while" i.e. another 2 years! | jasper2712
04/11/2019 08:11 | Huge news.As usual the significance of the partial refund will eventually filter through. | fitton
04/11/2019 07:59 | The CSR projects help... 👍 | 338 |
