Agree with all of that Redtrend. I would extend your 'poo list' and suggest that nobody associated with this process, Government, Parliament, EU or the public, have come out with much credit.

I fully support Bercow's decision. The deal has been destroyed in Parliament twice so to submit it again and play on panic supported by bringing the DUP to get it through is unpalatable to say the least. I also find it interesting that a second public vote is undemocratic whereas you can browbeat a vote through parliament as many times as it takes to get it through.

No he just followed house precedents.
Can't keep voting on the same motion whether you like it or not.

Why not bring this up at the AGM?

That is very unfortunate from your perspective.

Could i ask what was actually supplied as i find it strange the intermediary company were relying on a gentlemen's agreement for payment ?

This is like many miners....except that we seem to have a troll.

No, the intermediary company folded having been unable to pesuade EZ to honour the verbal deal that they had with EZ's predecessor as CFO. We incurred considerable costs on the back of our contract with them but it turned out they were relying on some kind of gentleman's agreement with Shanta.
Lesson learned from our perspective but it cost us £34k to learn it.

Have you still not had your monies that were owed?

tomrob .

Yes they do just pay TZ. I believe if they were based in London there could be double taxation as there isn't an agreement in force, so i understand.

And the company will, I'm sure, pay their taxes according to the rates applicable where they do business ("Tanzanian Corporation tax at 30% 3,942,000") rather than where they're registered ("standard rate of income tax for Guernsey companies which is 0%").

My business is registered 2 minutes walk away from the location of the SHG AGM.

In 16 years no-one has ever told us that we need to have an AGM in Guernsey. Maybe I should look into it.

Not sure if there are restrictions where they hold the Agm but i'm betting there are various tax advantages by being based in the Channel Islands.

Redhill they are indeed and I wasn't sure how stringent the rather archaic rule is that an AGM if not held in registered office, has to be held "at some other place within the city, town or village in which the registered office of the company is situated".
