GSW….maybe called it a bit early, but expecting it to return to old trading range 60-65p, order book looked strong at last results, now we’ll diversified (Europe and India) as well as by sector. A recent sell off by Invesco the only obvious reason for the fall this year.

See the FT article on the weekend, “Rise in civil engineering activity boosts UK construction sector” …it goes on, “the UK construction industry returned to growth in March for the first time in seven months, driven by a rise in engineering activity….ending a six month period of contraction…near-term outlook for construction workloads increasingly favorable…driven by increased demand for energy and infrastructure projects…̶1; plenty of steel being used it would appear.

I saw the double bottom at 50p and thought I ought to add. When I visited the BB here (I was going to post) I noted that many had already concluded similar and we were awash with similar posts already!

Certainly (as I have previously stated here) I like the mid to long term view here and I think now is the time in UK markets to accumulate. In particular things that are very solid yet somewhat cyclical in industry and construction should catch an updraft (I think).

Hopefully we will get positive news to back up our sentiments!

Not expecting any surprises here, think we will see a recovery to at least the 60p support level.

Results are June. There's a trading update due. It was March last year and April in 2022 so it could be any time in the next 4 weeks.
