If the drill is succesful, and 'if' is the key word with drilling, with the present price of gas i would guess that the share price could see a huge rise with them being able to link up the new resource to the gas plant which is being used now.

Hi Ewan. Thanks for the response. Take you point that 1/2 cost will come in Q3. One of the basic accounting principles is matching. Matching revenue with costs during the same period. To actually state real ebitda for Q1 in the broker notes of $7.8 million can be misleading.

Canar-1 exploration well commenced drilling on 4 August 2022
-- Canar-1 will be drilled to 1,600 metres, targeting three prospective hydrocarbon zones and with success will be connected to the Moftinu gas plant, utilising current plant capacity

-- Immediately upon completion of the drilling of Canar-1, the rig will be moved to the Moftinu Nord-1 location and will commence drilling of the Moftinu Nord-1 exploration well

-- Moftinu Nord-1 will be drilled to a depth of 1,000 metres and will target a field similar to the Moftinu gas field. Moftinu Nord-1 is approximately five kilometres to the north of the Moftinu gas development project

-- Management estimates 181 million barrels of mean unrisked resource are present within the Satu Mare concession area

-- The Company has initiated a geological and geophysical review of the Satu Mare concession to high rank the 181 million barrels of oil equivalent prospects

With the present price of oil and gas the share price will look very cheap at this price if they have a decent drilling campaign imo.

About half of the cost would be Q3 anyway. Not a big fan of EBITDA in this case because so many costs including depreciation of reserves come out before any profit drops out.

Evan. Don't think the cash has been banked. My question is has the production cost associated with it been absorbed in Q2. If so we have another $4 million to add to ebitda. In the recent broker note there was a reference to Q1 ebitda restated of $7.8 million. If this is how they are treating it real ebita for H1 is $12 million. Any thoughts?

It's 11.6p bid on a 11-12p spread, assuming the 11.789 trades are buys.
