10/4/2019 17:35 | Heres a thought SQZ tax credits last count i think was around £140m last yr BP paid the tax on SQZ earnings , so i take it this will happen on the money we give to Bp and the other BK partners, so in effect our partners will benefit from our tax credits or will SQZ argue the case. | chestnuts
10/4/2019 16:50 | A five pence dividend would buy a lot of geraniums 😃 | lord gnome
10/4/2019 16:14 | Spend the cash on another deal, you will benefit in the long term its too early for dividends. | fanshaw

10/4/2019 09:33 | Pine that's the problem with hybrids they generally only have small batteries but probably the range of the car combined is 300 miles plus, its horses for courses. For a similar cost to his golf you could probably get a pure battery Nissan Leaf E which will do over 200 miles on £5 worth of electricity. Its going to happen entry costs are coming down all the time Tesla, Volvo, VW, Nissan, Hyundai will all soon have offerings in 30k ball park. | captainfatcat
10/4/2019 09:02 | Anglo Asian up nicely for you this morning, Bh. | fardels bear
10/4/2019 07:06 | My pal has a brand new VW Golf hybrid. Range on the batterry according to him is a max of 30 miles. He reckons electric cars are pathetic if this reflects the average. Its his company car which he swapped from a sporty Volvo tp pay less tax. Tesla a nice looking car but not everyone has £100,000 for such long range.I,m Wondering how they are going to apply the tech to HGV's and even more interestingly ships travelling the world......lol. Both account for a great deal of daily oil consumption. Oil@gas accounts for about 50% of Norways exports. That's a big dent in their fiscal numbers should they try to abandon it. During the next world wide recession/depression (probably starting when the hordes of lefties elect a full on socialist/commie to the WH end of 2020 ,start 2021/22) which should be a big un, like many government inspired initatives i expect the conversion to electric to fail due to infrastructre restrictions and their plans to change the world scaled back considerably. It was only about 15yrs ago govt was telling us all how great diesel cars were for the future of motoring and how we'd all be driving one by now.. Fast forward to 2019.....whoops. imho | pineapple1
10/4/2019 00:16 | Cold weather performance not such a big issue with latest cars. Tesla winter road trip Minus 36-38 degrees temperatures with over 300km range keeping the cabin at 17-19 degrees C for over 6hrs while camping in the car overnight at minus 36 degree C uses roughly 15-20 percent of the range. Lots of interesting vids and road trips with many different electric cars on Bjorn's youtube channel | captainfatcat

09/4/2019 22:13 | Captain THe electric cars in Norway are subsidised cant remember by how much but it will be interesting to hear from any Norwegians how far the cars can run in winter off 1 charge and how they keep the inside of the car warm. | chestnuts
09/4/2019 21:33 | Been thinking about replacing one of our cars with an electric car for a few months now. Its interesting to see Norway's March statistic for electric vehicles sales which are accounting for 58% of all car sales in Norway! The rest of the developed world will surely follow driven by the necessity in meeting targets to address climate change. With a small population and blessed with an abundant supply of clean hydro generated electricity electric vehicle ownership is obviously making good sense for many Norwegians | captainfatcat
09/4/2019 19:17 | Pine as the world comes off petrol and diesel the electric car will come, electricity as to come from renewables and gas so an increase wether it is in LNG or just NG so yes you will expect demand to grow. But at the moment the world is awash with gas. In 12 months it might be different. | chestnuts |
