I see this as a moderately safe holding in troubled times compared to other shares I hold which I'm more focused on right now.

Croasdale: If you change the date on the Trades page back to 16th you get the actual trades for Friday. It must just be an anomaly caused by the date automatically moving on.

Sunday times readers - front page Business today.
Interesting article on the “frenzy” of buying up N Sea assets etc.
Jim Ratcliffe in this case and Conoco Phillips + mention of chevron and Total “sparking fierce competition among buyers”.

I’m in HUR so the part of selling Clair ( not HUR of course but close) is interesting. I don’t want HUR to go yet when they are just about to tie up their FPSO in next few weeks.
Interesting times in the N Sea and I feel quite good that I have now pulled 90% of my investments from some of the more worrying Africa AIM plays.
I won’t list them; we’ve all probably been stung by at least one.

Off for bike ride while the sun is shining.

Croasdalelfc -
That’s what I was alluding to in my previous posts.
The ADVFN reporting of bid, ask and mid and other “peculiarities” I find very confusing but I suppose, at the end of the day, all that matters is the actual Bid price.
Mind you I don’t like seeing the mid price down to 129 when it isn’t the real price.......or then again....is it!

GG - of course you're right - there will be one-off deductions from with windfall payment - what I was alluding to that the 11 months production we will be handed over is going to be significantly more than the approx £100m (before deductions) I'd calculated.

If they structure the completion RNS / presentation so that we can see what the one-off expenditure items were and what the gross revenue for the 11 months was - we (and other investors) can see what kind of turnover & profit to expect from Serica for next year.

Maybe dunderheed will take a straw poll on what people think the gross figure will be. We could also do one for the expenditure figure, but as it's approaching Xmas, I don't want to countenance the spending of money any more than I already have to ;-)

Are we expecting (I am) the amount due to Serica to be adjusted to reflect some costs attributed to Rhum 3 intervention postponement? The logistical build up and numerus vessel charters plus rig costs prior to the drill being cancelled would have a impact and be deducted from that final figure due.

Yes but they'll overpriced it guaranteed steely.
It's been unofficially up for grabs for quite a long time methinks!!

Yes me I'd be ecstatic with 100mm GBP.
So often I tend to over estimate and look on these things optimistically though!!

It wont be 150m. We have payments to make from that......

Anything upwards of 100 would be great.

DH....i, am amazed at how resilient SQZ has been. Almost all others have fallen ,and some quite hard in the face of a lower oil price. Perhaps we are still markedly undervalued in the eyes of the wider market.
The BKR change of ownership and resulting cash infusion should answer many questions.
£150,000,000 would do wonders for the share price put i remain cautious of the actual amount. Anything around £100M would be great as far as i,m concerned ,although i have no idea what the overall market would view as above or below expectations and resulting equity movement.

Piney mate I now concede we are in oil bear mkt Lol!
I was hoping it may turn quickly and whilst that is likely in the medium term it will not be quite as quickly as I initially expected!
Best of luck all and cheers for inputs almsivi.

Good points re the increased BK production being comparable with our share of Rhum. I for one hadn't appreciated that while focusing on waivers etc.

Don,t ever think a share has no downside. They all have risks and this is no exception. Expect the unexpected .Just ask BP after the Macondo well disaster.
I bet no investors were expecting that.
Having said that i,m looking forward to much higher prices as the SQZ story unfolds. This is just the beginning.

Thanks quemasterThat certainly accounts for a large upward revision of the order I'm seeing and crucially, corroborates my finding that Bruce with Keith is as productive as our share of Rhum. Now, if Rhum were to see R3 realized within the next year, all bets are off with guesses to forward share price Factor in that the market in April / Sept will see a 10% uplift in production from 2018 due to the structure of the deal and you have a lot to get excited about over the next few years!

These were the H1 boepd figures from in the November 2017 presentation..

Rhum 27000
Bruce 12300
Keith 1300

Assuming the same levels I calculate that Serica's share of 2018 production would be..

Rhum 5400
Bruce 5098
Keith 585
