On Iranian sanctions generally...

Pompeo said Friday the administration will grant temporary waivers to eight countries that have “demonstrated significant reductions in crude oil and cooperation on many other fronts and have made important moves toward getting to zero crude oil importation.”

The countries won’t be named until Monday, but Bloomberg reports Japan, India, South Korea, and China are expected to be among recipients. Turkey, a major destination for Iranian crude, could also be included. Pompeo said the European Union, which has drafted its own plans to circumvent US sanctions, will not be.

As the BKR deal is dependent on the licence which is dependent on the Escrow being set up I suspect we will get an RNS at least some time next week, probably on Monday before the sanctions take effect at midnight, but we will have to wait and see.

I suspect that BP being in the position they are with numerous US assetts would have immediately ceased payment to the INOC directly so possibly an escrow account is already up and running. For the record i have no knowledge on the difficulty that setting up such an account may incur.
Passport and two proofs of address perhaps......lol

As the deal has not yet finalised, it's up to BP. to sort the escrow. I don't see any need for SQZ to RNS on the subject.

given the share price action yesterday I'm expecting an RNS Monday some time re the Escrow account especially as the sanctions against Iran don't kick in until midnight on Monday; in theory I guess they could continue production in any case provided that when the next payment to IOC is due it goes into an Escrow account whenever that may be

Was expecting an RNS by yesterday - weren't other people?

The License and assurance are conditional upon arrangements being put in place by 4 November 2018 relating to the interest in the Rhum field held by Iranian Oil Company (U.K.) Limited ("IOC").

As I read it they aren't newly announced sanctions. They are merely the imposition of the ones announced earlier in the year with the November start date.Mind you, I'm just interpreting what some journo wrote, and we know how lazy many of them are.

Hi guys thanks for the kind words.
Been up and down for 10 days now.
When I get a stomach infection do I get one!!
No word of a lie, when I was younger, I lost 6.5kg in one night!!
Anyways really nice to see positive share price reaction today. I wonder where we will be at the end of November when all cash arrives!

Surely this move is nothing to do with the escrow account.
Maybe bumper flow rates from Erskine above expectations as the pipes aren't clogged with wax (well the new section anyway)
