Ever since the oil price went negative in May 2020, the oil sector has felt like investing in the wild west. Not sure whether that will change any time soon. It feels like you are investing in a brothel on the poshest street in the City. You can make a return but everyone thinks you are scum.Oh well, lol!!

Not particularly worried as I bought at 112 so can take a 9p drop. Just surprised how relentless the buying and price increases are. Seems they were indeed priced for a divi cut and are just rerating.

Been a lovely recovery from the lows but still an absolutely cracking dividend on offer at these prices and potential for decent capital gains too imo.

Many shares right now across the board on the cusp of breaking out from around 3 year long term downtrends. 3 examples in my pf are SQZ, CAML and PHNX. Possibly signalling an upturn but bit early to say yet...
