Gold is cheap ... but keeps getting cheaper . Can’t help but think there is some BS narrative and nobody has a clue where gold is going and meanwhile this goes back into the 70s and heading further down in the short term Imho .

They were a bit sneaky. The Dec balance reported included a bullion sale that completed early Jan.

Gold pummelled again 1730. Amazing. If the Fed don't start buying....well.....

Hi Tiger - I am not sure if the drilling exploration cost can in part be capitalised.
As for the bank balance reducing, they paid back $3m in debt. They had increased wages payments in the last qtr and had reduced sales shipments. I was surprised the bank balance hadn't reduced further. By the end of this qtr, debt will almost all repaid which will free up $3m a quarter for Coringa.

I do expect SRB to re-rate but when and what the catylist will be I don't know. Maybe the Coringa licence or exploration results. Still a waiting game, unforunately.

We have re-introduced exploration and the total budget for that I believe was stated as $5m. So a portion needs to be factored in. $1M?

A bit concerned the bank balance reduced from 10.8m to 8.1m (from memory) from Qtr 3 to Qtr4 so I am interested to see where that stands end of quarter 1 2021. However, Qtr4 included the 'bonus' month.

Just for a bit of fun and out of boredom, I have made a stab at qtr1 financial for 2021 and await any views:

Sales $ 15,894,000 (9000 oz @ $1766)
COS -$ 8,582,720 ( Margin in line with Qtr3)
Admin-$ 1,664,630 (Same as last year so may be low)
Dep etc -$ 1,704,361 (Same as last year so may be low as well)

Profit $ 3,942,249 ( 2020 $1,495,640 - increase 260%)

Have I missed anything or are there alternative views.

Exactly. The "safe haven" drops during crisis as it's easily liquidated. Then people pile in. It'll be US$2,500-3,000 as Coringa comes on line.

Gold will rocket in 2022/3, not this year. It followed the down turn of the credit crunch. 2010-12

Sellers and buyers battling out. I'd imagine the sellers running out. This looks like bottom. I'm locked and loaded, ready to get back in.

Personally believe there has been a fundamental shift in investing attitude with many trading/rotating based on daily/weekly news. More reactionary which can both harm and benefit illiquid stocks. Gold is not the current play but a few weeks down the road if the fed intervene to cap 10 year yields then it will switch again. The Fed need growth, the increasing bond yields are a barrier to this. The Fed will come into the market and buy long dated bonds. It is just a matter of when. Current yield on 10yr is 1.45. I reckon they will jump in if it reaches 1.5. At that point gold comes back in fashion in a big way

As I have said SRB have to do the heavy lifting with gold retreating. For all their talk they are failing to create shareholder value, which based on their potential is a huge bone of contention

Yes, a critical support level hereabouts - that 10:29 sale has rocked the boat. Do you foresee a capitulation (volume) day with an intraday reversal?

Yep 79/80 - it's a big buy and could be start of rise to it a 130p. Technically could go lower but not fundamentally

Maybe our Timeframes are slightly different...... Fratelli is a private investment company managed by Megeve Investments which is the family office of the Chilean Solari Donaggio family which has significant business interests in Chile and other parts of South America. .They are significant shareholders, Chairman and MD of the Falabella retail group, the second largest retail chain in South America.... which has been trading for 132 years......
