22/4/2022 15:48 | Good to hear. Lets hope FTSE up on Monday. Basically the story is the same: Why I like SNR: a) Pre covid trading range was about £2 b) Its assets are "real" assets, not intangibles. c) Its trading in markets that will probably grow (eg components for electric and hydrogen vehicles) d) defence spending world wide will probably be heading upwards (Even in USA) due to tensions (Chinese potentially in Solomon Islands and Ukraine). e)Its trading at miles UNDER the recent bid of £2. A bid of £2 implies that the bidder probably is thinking its really worth £3 or higher (eg they will want to make a profit too). | netcurtains
22/4/2022 15:40 | IF, emphasis on if, markets are in for a weaker spell MRO may be available under £1.20 next week - barring some positive company specific news. | essentialinvestor
22/4/2022 15:37 | EI, sold a few on the open but not yet back in. watching yesterdays low for now. | roguetraderuk
22/4/2022 15:29 | Thanks - yes entire stock market appears to be down now. I was doing OK this morning. Not sure what the issue is. Probably pick up on Monday. Have a good week-end. | netcurtains
22/4/2022 15:02 | net, issue with the sector atm is it gets hit hard on risk off days. As mentioned yesterday sold a few Melrose which I've now bought back. To to fair most will not have the time or inclination for that faffing about. But it helps to reduce the holding average cost. | essentialinvestor
22/4/2022 08:53 | Yesterdays fall due to short term profit takers. I guess this is letting in new buyers sniffing a bargain. | netcurtains
21/4/2022 19:46 | Thanks for the MRO tip! Thanks. I tend to hold for a few months and buy more on weakness (if I like the story). | netcurtains
21/4/2022 19:28 | net, mentioned in the context of the very same BOD who turned down £2 a share. Sold a small amount of MRO today which hopefully can add back lower, but plans can fall through as so often they do!. | essentialinvestor
21/4/2022 19:26 | Oh is this something that you have been waiting for - like a sign from on high that this is the time to buy? 😃😃 | netcurtains
21/4/2022 19:03 | BOD = Board Of Directors | gargoyle2
21/4/2022 17:27 | Not sure what a BOD is but if you look at FTSE250 lots of airlines and associated companies went up quite a lot. The "market" thinks aviation is "in" again and SENIOR does this: Senior serves both the commercial aerospace and defence markets with a range of products and systems for fluid conveyance, gas turbine engines and structures. Our solutions are flying in virtually all military and commercial aircraft, numerous piston and jet engines, and are specified for missile and NASA programmes. For more than 50 years, Senior Aerospace has provided engineered solutions for the rigorous challenges of bleed air duct systems, precision sheet metal fabrications, bellows, metal hose assemblies, and other pressure carrying components used by aerospace companies across the globe. | netcurtains
21/4/2022 15:16 | No BOD buying on the back of yesterday's update. | essentialinvestor
21/4/2022 09:21 | Why I like SNR: a) Pre covid trading range was about £2 b) Its assets are "real" assets, not intangibles. c) Its trading in markets that will probably grow (eg components for electric and hydrogen vehicles) d) defence spending world wide will probably be heading upwards (Even in USA) due to tensions (Chinese potentially in Solomon Islands and Ukraine). e)Its trading at miles UNDER the recent bid of £2. A bid of £2 implies that the bidder probably is thinking its really worth £3 or higher (eg they will want to make a profit too). | netcurtains
20/4/2022 15:15 | SNR seems to be doing OK at present. | netcurtains
20/4/2022 14:24 | net, already hold a few Melrose so SNR is a small position as a big overlap in their respective markets. SNR does come with an added bid possibility, but that alone not a reason to buy obvs. | essentialinvestor
20/4/2022 14:01 | EI: I dont think buyers buying now will be disappointed. Looking at its market, its products tend to be in areas that are set to expand for quite a few years to come. IT has really good NAV value and a reasonable amount of cash. | netcurtains
20/4/2022 13:49 | A tad fortunate with yesterday's very small buy as did not realise there was a trading update today. | essentialinvestor
20/4/2022 10:04 | For the uninitiated: Senior is an international manufacturing group with operations in 12 countries. It is listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange (symbol SNR). Senior designs and manufactures high technology components and systems for the principal original equipment producers in the worldwide aerospace & defence, land vehicle and power & energy market | netcurtains
20/4/2022 08:50 | CT: I liked the fact that it's into parts for electric and hydrogen vehicles. These are the good potential growth markets. | netcurtains
20/4/2022 08:36 | the average upside is 1.64 and as high as 220p | castleford tiger
20/4/2022 08:13 | Interesting update. | netcurtains
19/4/2022 18:13 | I rate IAN King and he has cash on the table tiger | castleford tiger
19/4/2022 15:34 | Back in for a very small amount. Tiger, market remains unconvinced in the current leadership creating value?, think that's a reasonable assessment myself. To be fair to the BOD weakening global growth outlook not helping. | essentialinvestor
19/4/2022 14:05 | what about they are holding price sensitive infomation? tiger | castleford tiger
11/4/2022 10:48 | Likely 4, above all else… “not in shareholders interest” == “not in our interests” D | dennisbergkamp |
