15/2/2008 09:28 | Mickey, taken from the CLAYTON website "Units are designed to burn natural gas, propane, light oil and heavy oil, as well as a combination of these fuels". So why could the initial testing not be done with heavy or light oil??? | california joe
15/2/2008 09:12 | SO it is agreed the entire board will be tested! all that remains is for the shareholders to decide what the will be tested for, prior to being commited! f | fernygrade
15/2/2008 09:11 | or gasoline? Just looked at a sagd steam unit that runs on this! | california joe
15/2/2008 09:10 | CJ -No simply its nothing more than a boiler burns fuel to heat the water to HP steam for injection | mickey take
15/2/2008 09:06 | Mickey, doesn't it also run on electric? Surely a generator would be the cheapest way to commission it for testing purposes???? | california joe
15/2/2008 09:05 | Mickey, I reckon it's simply a case of them submitting the application based on natural gas usage and then having to resubmit due to a change of fuel, or submission of an alteration. Like any application, probably reviewed monthly. Who's to say that the original permit was not in place when they discovered the gas from the well was not up to scratch? From the time they announced a problem to the time they made the final decision to use propane (remember they were considering the options at the time of the RNS) would make the permit imminent :O) | california joe
15/2/2008 09:02 | How do you think they commissioned it if it kept tripping on high water content from the gas supply? | mickey take
15/2/2008 08:59 | Did they? When? | relishing
15/2/2008 08:58 | Relishing As I explained before they commissioned the unit using propane | mickey take
15/2/2008 08:55 | MT, It has been stated that the actual operating emissions still have to be tested though, before a licence can be granted. How could this have been done before the unit arrived, was connected up and fueled with the current fuel (propane)? | relishing
15/2/2008 08:47 | 6214baz - 14 Feb'08 - 23:27 - 13009 of 13014 "horrible feeling weve drilled a duster hope im totally wrong ,heres to blue friday" Wonder what the reaction would be to the opposite, that they have drilled successfully a 100bopd+ well? | california joe
15/2/2008 08:30 | Yes it was a bit harsh, sorry. Just getting tired of reading the negative conspiracy theories. Its quite a tense time at the moment! | relishing
15/2/2008 08:24 | Mickey, you may find the answer here: If not, the AQMD site probably has it somewhere if you can enter the right search question! | california joe
15/2/2008 07:46 | NO only foreigners getting married, no gas !! | fernygrade
15/2/2008 06:43 | Morning All I am not saying you don't need a license to operate the steamer in fact I am certain you do. My comment is in regard to a post by someone stating that they need a 'SPECIAL' license since the change to propane. The application for this license should have been made before the arrival on site back in July. Does anyone know when this application was made and throw any light on the 'SPECIAL' license requirement for the use of propane as fuel? | mickey take
14/2/2008 23:27 | horrible feeling weve drilled a duster hope im totally wrong ,heres to blue friday.. | 6214baz
14/2/2008 22:21 | Oil doing very well again tonight. Now $95.50 | relishing
14/2/2008 19:40 | But as far as i can see that information is nothing to do with the steamer. It relates to another piece of equipment! | redhill
14/2/2008 19:14 | Calm down dear! :O) Guys, they obviously need a licence, it must have needed some sort of change, perhaps the air quality restrictions are so pedantic that the exact fuel source had to be specified and this meant they needed an alteration to the original application! | california joe
14/2/2008 19:09 | MT, Why would they say they needed this licence if they didn't need this licence? Talk about paranoid! Get a grip!! | relishing
14/2/2008 19:07 | MT, You are far too quick to jump to conclusions imo. Look at all the information available. | relishing |
