I was under the impression he thought MPH was fully listed, not Sefton. Can you post that comment to reinforce your comment as I cannot seem to find it?

Yes he did - he also stated that he had undertaken extensive reseaerch into AIM listed MPH.

Now can you ask him what on earth made him think MPH was aim listed?

Nice to see you so positive!

Did DRH state Sefton was fully listed??

I think not but happy to be corrected!

DRH,

They are smelling the coffee at MPH, your 'aim listed' stockpick.lol When you suggested at 50p a few weeks ago that it was a no brainer long to 100p they all thought ''wake up and smell thge coffee''. They need to drink a cup or two now that it sits at 13p!!!lol

Now can you explain what made you think it was Aim listed and why you thought Sefton was fully listed?

Can someone tell DRH not to bother posting balderdash figures on here - such claims put new readers off, since no one accepts them and readers consider these insane ramps since thsat is exactly what they are. I would rather be realistic and reasoned. Readers are far more likely to consider that.

Minerman,

It is not a given that the price shall rise on news of the approaval - after all, it is said to be an administrative exercise, and thus is likely in the price anyway. I was simply looking at it in terms of a further piece of positive news if and when announced..

One cannot expect a significant run up on the basis of that news alone - after all, the news of a reasonably aggressive drilling campaign, which in relative terms is far far more significant only generated a .125p rise.

But things are coming along.

If they can approach 400bpd just from conventional drilling, your looking at £2.5-3m pbt for fy 2009....using a pe of just 8, thats 20-24m MCAP....ignorning steaming and CBM completely.

anyone smelling the coffee yet?

Arso if you dont like what you read then stay on your own thread and I will finish writing my inane pieces on here!!

I think the moderator of this thread seriously needs to consider whether ferny be allowed to post on here. His ill judged rants simply dilute the impact of any reasoned posts on here. This cannot assist new readers.

All,

I note the Oil barrel article. I think it is attaching far too much importance to Steaming - drilling of new wells has been underplayed in the report in my view. Moreover, they did not highlight the potential for generating significant cashflow to eventually self finance new wells.

I think Sefton shall get a further boost when given the approval from the Air Qulaity Board (the article asserts it is a given). In the meantime I look forward to the data from the wells.

Can we stick to discussing Sefton - new readers do not want to visit a thread to witness constant shilly shallying. It serves no purpose and can even dissuade some from looking further.

Or better still Matador chasing arso round the stock exchange with a picador!

Morning MT, And to continue what I believe you have omitted: Sefton is better known for not doing things by the book, and therefore there is a chance albeit an equal one that they could either hit or miss?.

Morning Ferny- Sefton have not used seismic in order to map clearly the reservoirs within their fields, they employ a different method of drilling and sampling in order to determine if the areas contain Hydrocarbons.

Seismic can produce a 3D model of the reservoir and hence gives a clearer picture of the extents

I would like to point out that even with seismic technology people have been known to miss with the drill bit.

SO its still conjecture then?

Hi Dropside

Not necessarily although we could encounter a high pressure pocket within this area during the first drilling which could change their approach and thinking has to how they tackle or for that matter if the decide to drill within this same reservoir.

I would consider this almost a wild cat exercise in terms of drilling although its within a kwon mapped area.
