08/2/2008 07:54 | good morning all slight down turn on pre market , mms not all switched on there pcs yet ! | iain g
08/2/2008 07:35 | Joe. to me, these are the options for CBM High Risk - Sefton take on all the exploration and drilling costs (risk), if finds are significant then would be company changing (reward), this is most unlikely scenario as Sefton don't have the cash and it could ruin them if they go the debt/placing route. Medium Risk - 50/50 JV Low Risk - Sell off asset to a larger player in return for a free carry and a percentage of any finds (6-10%).... sorry, there is another option, company gets bought out lock, stock.... 08/2/2008 07:33 | All sounds good wish the steaming had started by now though! As some have mentioned I can see Sefton being taken out soon. The cheap price and the potential here must make us look attractive just wish the share price would move forward now. Also keeping debt low which is also another big plus. | goooba769
07/2/2008 22:22 | BTW I understand the 2-3 Snow wells are off the one base, so no need to move the drill, should speed things up. Its 3 wells depending on what they find down there. | dropside
07/2/2008 22:16 | And just to make the day complete, oil starts to turn up again. Night all! | dropside
07/2/2008 22:12 | dropside -- exactly, and indeed the very reasosn MRP is been taken out. As soon as a predater appears on the scene here, only then will you start to encompass the true value -- hold, imo edit btw -- Psonice where the chuff are you-- AWOL not allowed ! | westmoreland lad
07/2/2008 21:37 | Well written RNS, excellent news ahead of expectations. Can't believe these are still at 5p, on either value of assets or cash flow calculation these are so cheap. | dropside
07/2/2008 21:30 | And this year we should finally see some action taking place with the kansas cbm assets, which is about time. | joe8472
07/2/2008 20:31 | If the well they are drilling now was spudded on the 3rd, we could easily expect 3 wells completed and the 4th being spudded by the middle of next month, especially as the rig is on site, so no delays. As the 4th well is completed, we should already have received the flow test results from the one they are drilling now. Sefton have a 100% success rate so historically, there's no reason why we should not expect a considerable increase in production, inline with the Hardman report. In fact, considering all this is only in Q1, 2008 could well exceed those expectations. Increased cash flow is obviously helping the situation and this will be seriously exaggerated with 4 more wells online, adding to what could be an absolutely superb set of results. | california joe
07/2/2008 19:57 | Recent US rate cuts are a bonus too.... | deanroberthunt
07/2/2008 19:53 | The well is the first in a series of the three to four wells in the Tapia 2008 Q1 drilling program. The Snow #3 well spudded on Sunday, February 3, 2008. So i should be expecting sefton to have drilled upto 4 wells by the end of march, very good. If these are all producers then i would expect a big re-rating of sefton. | joe8472
07/2/2008 19:50 | This has more details on the US tax cuts, namely bringing forward capital allowances, see p5. Tax relief is available not just on buying new equipment but also on tangible property. I reckon that includes successful drilling, which in the accounts adds to Sefton's O&G property assets. Note that unsuccessful drilling would not qualify. The relief is available on property acquired in 2008 only. There is thus a big incentive to bring forward any planned drilling into 2008, which includes CBM. We don't know for sure, of course, but my guess now is that Sefton will qualify for this relief, with a significant benefit to cash flow. | tim00
07/2/2008 16:08 | The really good news is interest base rate down a quarter point secondly the news from Sefton reserves Well done !! to those who have kept faith I read from Mickey takes post Mickey Take - 7 Feb'08 - 14:46 - 12535 of 12538 Buy some more then Yas0 if you are confident Sefton are worth +7p if my interpretation of Mickeys post is correct ! Then the really obvious revelation, That the seasoned veggy has finally shown his true hand as a de rapmer (when short )19 page closely typed beasr report that miraculously hasnt appeared & now a ramper (when long )Another ficticious report perhaps ?! 07/2/2008 14:46 | Buy some more then Yas0 if you are confident Sefton are worth +7p I have been busy loading up with MRP so no funds for this camp at present. But as you say if the facts change change with them, you have always claimed to have deep pockets... so off you go! | mickey take
07/2/2008 14:42 | There is stock available, though sustained buying could change that picture fairly quickly. I am surprised more bulls have not taken up this opportunity - but then I always doubted their enthusiasm. I took a paltry 100k shares this morning, but it appears that this the largest trade so far today. oh well - so much for the bulls. | yas0
07/2/2008 14:41 | tick up imminent. | deanroberthunt

07/2/2008 13:54 | That's all clear then!!!!! | dbno
07/2/2008 13:36 | The thicker the better! All of Shell's exploration wells in this play were selected to penetrate "bright spots." The largest discoveries were found to have the added benefit of deeper oil sands, where the seismic had weak or no visible amplitude anomalies. | california joe |
