Secondly unless they are being paid in tankers of crude they will not be able to receive USD from a Russian company. For god's sake read the news (and no IMF loan is going to find its way into SDX's bank account you are insane)

Roman, the state own russian company got licenses around SD on 26th sept 2023.There is no war inside russia. AMC took ages selling their assets.Worth mentioning media were reporting that egypt were close to agreeing new imf loan if that happens the situation in egypt gets better and sdx no longer in a rush and assetbis worth alot more...

They have agreed the sale for WG, they are awaiting the sale for SD.I dont think they will dispose WG without selling SD.I think the buyer maybe russian hence the delay. More paperwork when the russians involved due to sanctions.Lets see if hunch is correct..

News can come at anytime. Remember for West Gharib it admin task left for sale and SD sales was largely agreed back in early jan.

Maybe they want SD deal agreed before they let go of WG.US and israel wont let Egypt become failed state. They need them..If dollar issue gets better who knows they may not sell or they may make more.

I am asking myself the same question Little. As I have said before I bought in because I know the area very well, I deemed this cheap and expected the seller to run out and I could be sitting on 50% by the end of the year (end of last year obviously). As it stands the seller hasn't stopped (although last 24 hours has been better) and the new BOD have done nothing to build confidence.

I am sitting on a small loss (bought at 4.1) but fundamentally I see far better opportunities elsewhere, I think I need to accept I got my timing wrong and sell . The small explorers are getting trashed whenever they release news (reality outweighs hope) and the situation will only getter worse. It is so had finding funding for hydrocarbons today and as renewables continue to gain traction every banker wants to fund the next Tesla, not the next Drax.

I hope SDX proves me wrong

Roman ,please dont put words in my mouth.The 9th January doesnt give any promises about dates and I dont think they ever have,just expectations.When I asked if SDX could update us CFO said that nothing material had happened since so no RNS was necessary.So no pork pies
