11/3/2017 09:23 | This research note from November last year references the 90% success rate of previous targets within the Abu Madi trend with similar seismic responses. I wasn't aware of the deeper oil play that management hope to test later this year :- "The additional prospects identified allow for further potential exploration upside for shareholders over and above this initial well. SDX has also identified a deeper oil play in the block which management would hope to test in the next twelve months. Industry interest has also increased and, to reflect this, the company has received enquiries about farming into the licence. However, given that the company is already be ing carried for the costs of the first well, management is unlikely to farm down any additional equity in the licence." | ![]() nick2412

11/3/2017 07:03 | tgg Thanks for your input. They are certainly very excited about the AVO response and obviously the 3 oil prospect horizons they believe they might have below the main gas target. Gas, oil or water. As Meat Loaf once said in a song, 2 out of 3 ain't bad :) | ![]() captain james t kirk
11/3/2017 00:54 | NickThis is why at present this is a great play, with or without the sd-1 exploration well the stock is undervalued. Our partners will foot the cost for the majority of the well, we are not losing much if it becomes a duster. If sdx encounters gas or oil its game changer, interesting things is it will only take 30 days to get to TD.. | ![]() neo26
11/3/2017 00:45 | neo, 150p plus would be a 300m m/cap plus. It's worth noting that Fincapp have placed a 750m valuation on AAOG in the event they ever become a 10,000 bpd producer. That sounds a bit generous but If South Disouq comes in (gas and oil) then that could put SDX in the 25,000 bpd league. On a similar Fincapp valuation basis that would put SDX on a 1.75b m/cap or close to 900p a share. That's not realistic but let's say 500m to 600m m/ cap or 250p to 300p per share is. I think SDX would also become a takeover target given the big players seem to want in on Egypt. | ![]() nick2412
10/3/2017 23:57 | del, OTOH, a strong AVO response, a very good indicator in the play, bodes rather well..... | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 23:52 | i think if you watch the presentation which was made pre acquisition Paul believes the companies worth around £60m without any further exploration value included, then we purchased the two assets which were valued around £64m, so put that together and you get 124m mkt cap without further exploration and the pending sd-1 drilling. So we should be minimum 75p at the moment and if sd-1 comes in its 150p+. Interesting times, Cash + Net Receivables = c.$50m unbelievable | ![]() neo26
10/3/2017 22:45 | Diddly if it's full of water!! | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 21:56 | and that means? | ![]() deltrotter
10/3/2017 21:32 | Good spot Captain! Still think the way it's presented could be clearer, but basically what they're saying is that the old sand dune (presumably!) they're planning to drill has rather good reservoir properties! | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 20:47 | tgg Having had a good search around, the only light I can throw on the subject is the Petrel name and logo in the bottom right hand corner of the map. Linked to this: hxxps://www.software | ![]() captain james t kirk
10/3/2017 20:01 | Not really sure what the graphic is showing, given there are also depth contours included! | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 19:28 | tgg As you have no doubt gathered, i'm no more than a layman in such matters. Sorry I can't be more specific. | ![]() captain james t kirk
10/3/2017 18:58 | Captain, can't remember seeing such detail on reservoir quality on an undrilled prospect before. | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 18:46 | tgg Sorry, it would appear that the slide 25 is the latest in the public domain and there doesn't appear to be any other information available. As a matter of interest what sort of information were you looking for re the techniques used. | ![]() captain james t kirk
10/3/2017 18:27 | Thanks for the link Captain, but it dates from last Sept & he wasn't using the reservoir quality slide! | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 17:50 | Hi tgg, thanks for popping in. This Oil Capital presentation might give more detail and the answer to your question. He gets onto the diagrams at S.Disouq at 17 mins 45 secs. | ![]() captain james t kirk
10/3/2017 17:33 | Noticed a link to the recent pres here earlier & I'm unclear about slide 25. What technique have they used to grade/measure reservoir quality? | ![]() thegreatgeraldo
10/3/2017 16:51 | Eye2, you are surely joking, why on earth would you take any notice of blueball? | ![]() mesquida
