Thanks for the replies especially to captain james t kirk (of the starship enterprise). The link to the presentation was exactly what I was looking for.
My faith in the utility of these forums has been restored after my experience with tournesol who asked me to read back through the thread, which had 1000 posts,when I last posed a question.

With regards to bright spots near closures on 3d within this trends signalled hydrocarbons and success rate was 90%, how many drilling results was this taken from to get this 90%?

P23 onwards gives you the info on S.Disouq.
As they have decided to drill down to 10,300 ft, to test the deeper oil prospect, SDX is in for 55% of costs above $3 million, around $500,000.
PW has stated there is potential for 100 million barrels of oil beneath the gas prospect and they are excited by bright spots within closures on the 3D which within this trend have previously signalled hydrocarbons, with a 90% success rate.
Large oil companies have tried to farm in on this play but SDX is comfortable with their 55%. At $500,000 who wouldn't be.

Yes neo I would hope for some news on the 3D. If there is a perceived connection to the recent huge gas finds offshore then the news could be massive.

Kev 30% CoS upgraded from 13% after 3D seismic. SDX covered for the gas drill but an ex Apache employee who works for the company noticed potential for oil further down so the well is to be drilled deeper to test these traps.

Other companies wanting to farm in but PW happy to keep our 55% of SD.

I'm trying to find some info on this upcoming drill but can't see anything in the last results.

How much gas could they find? I'm talking about like recoverable reserves not gas in place. Also what are the chances of success?? TIA.

Yes someuwin, I wasn't aware of Malcy until I saw the interview with PW. Having seen that I went on to Malcys web site and saw what an opportunity I had missed last year not being involved in last year's bucket list.
