Markt,

You hold onto your dream we are through 380p what will be our next resting level. This is going to be a £10 share by 2009 imho

and it was that SDL one day lists on NASDAQ....and gets USA tech. stock rating...

OK, I'm thing into the future , assuming more organic sales growth and acquisitions....or on the other hand some companies have listed on NASDAQ with lower turnover than SDL ..or ?
I guess expensive to do it, and then costs/hassle of quartlery reporting....

but surely the rating of the share would be much higher...

look at Google and other internet linked firms....OK it's not a Google advertising company...
Google bought a translation company....
could a translation company buy (or merge) with a search engine company ??
(SDL with ASK Jeeves or one of the others, in some parts of the world Google search has less % of the market, some other companies around)

I agree with you, this is seriously underpriced. It has only scratched the worlds surface in translation. The future revenues could be huge for this type of business. I believe over the next two or so years the price could hit £10, blue sky thinking

...at least for SDL ...the world seems to be with us !!

....just keeps going up ....

....considering the opportunities and growth last year....looks underpriced to me....

...loads of websites being opened up every day....and people want to sell their products in whole world....which means languages/translation and companies like SDL...

Eastern Europe additions must create more opportunities..various in 2004 and Romania and Bulgaria in jan 2007..must be thousands of CE docs. needing translating....

and companies like IKEA, Bauhaus etc etc

and etc !!

expanding....and producing more brochures and offers per season than ever....

all the property companies in Bulgaria/Romania that want to sell properties to customers from various countries (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, UK, France, ......

If was to be re-rated to be a yankee stock then ..would go up a lot !
USA tech. stocks often have high ratings....since going for global markets/sales so growth possibilities can be high.

...and if a USA co. wanted to buy it (to benefit internet options...due to languages...) then would be paying a high price....

google paid loads I think for a language auto-translation company..."LOADS"
and translation performance of that solution is pretty poor...

Is it 10,000 new web sites every day in the world ?
and just think how many want to present in different languages and to sell worldwide if they can. As long as the client pays for the postage of a product, and the product (with c card) who cares where it goes to.
+10k per day, that is a great opportunity for companies like SDL, and there is a very limited number of them around....

shares are still underpriced in my view , noting the opportunities

Wow. Another rerating underway? The last one saw it rise by 50%, so this time we may rocket to 450 or more before it runs out of steam. That would be a very high pe, but SDL is a hot stock at the moment so who knows.

...and hopefully over next few weeks it will get past its previous high....form a double top and then go on to new highs...time will tell..

...but some people sure want the shares today, up almost 20p.

(in 12 months time I reckon this could be good % higher than it is now....and in 5 years time)

Not aware of any tips of upgrades. But this came off it's highs so swiftly, that it's not surprising to see it rise just as swiftly. Also, if you look at the chart, it's been in a steeper trend since December, and it's just bounced really nicely off the bottom of that trend.

...not much chat on SDL at the moment....I guess since the results are out there...

...yes, interesting to see what SDL price does from here....
..some fall back after rapid rise up was to be expected....I'm hoping that it will settle and then return to the long term up trend, since good results and prospects.....

(good part of share price fall was due to the global market fall I think....naturally people sitting on millions of pounds of short term profits went to sell....some big sales orders.....
and some buyers probably only bought in last few months before results, so had made large quick bucks.....perhaps moved that elsewhere to look for more quick bucks... (maybe they come back before next results !) )


results were stunning, such as world sales outside of Europe and USA were up I think 50% or more...and with many countries in the world with languages there is a lot of potential growth I think....some countries are only getting the internet access now that the UK had say 15 years ago....so I see it as growing sales just from rolling out existing products to the world and also the market spend growing per year (good combination) and very likely that the company will add products over time..
and some products are sold on-line, nice gross % profit


...so I think that SDL is a good investment, ignoring the share price over last few days (that will follow the results over time...)

be interesting to see how SDL share price does in % over next 12 months versus the average of the ones you have gone for (and including the costs of share sales and buys)....

I bought heavuly into AMS two weeks ago which is proving a little gem.
Also bought another 20,000 shares in Brady (BRY) this week and a further 10,000 shares in Flomerics (which you know) yesterday.
I belive SDL is a great company, but think we are in for a period of
consolidation here. So I saw other shorter term opportunities to make a nice return (hopefully).

I saw on the net that you can get some of the products via the net.....that type of thing could motor at any time...
