At £35.4m Revenue and £7.4m profit,the trading update represents a significant hike in forecasts.Compared to the 10 Feb estimates,revenue expectations have risen 4% but profit expectations slightly over 10% indicating a marked improvement in trading margins. The company has not hiked forecasts for revenue and profit for the current year 2021/22 but thats not that surprising at this juncture,i suspect the company wants to keep something 'in the tank' and be able to manage expectations.

Yet another great trading statement. A further 4% or so increase in revenues to April'21, leading to another 10% increase in adjusted PBT,

Revenues are now up 44% on Apr'20 and PBT is up 70%....

Plus confirmation that the £42m revenues and £8.7m adjusted PBT for this year are MINIMUM figures.

From memory I think there is a small element of service/maintenance revenue. I think the real excitement with Monmouth is growth potential in the US.

Does anybody know the recurring revenue part of the monmouth installations? Do they require service maintenance or other bolt on services or product ssales that sdi can leverage from?

Yup. Not much stock available all morning in the 160s. Even @ 168-169 there is only just over 1k available to buy. Handy when one can accumulate a modest SB long position to take advantage.

RNS - year end trading update on 26th May, with results on 20th July.

Judging by prior trading statements I'd guess that these will be rather positive....

The recent huge wave of investment in the life sciences sector has to be good news for SDI:

They've also tweeted they have recently installed at our local Hospital, Addenbrookes in Cambridge. Good to see and looks like they're going great guns. Another excellent purchase with potential for US growth too in due course.

Monmouth Scientific a few days ago tweeted another installation of their Biological Safety Cabinets and cupboards - this time a dozen of the former at the Environment Agency, so quite a prestigious contract and a very good reference:



"A trip to the Environment Agency for our Engineer Jack to install a full suite of 12 Class 2 MSC1200 Biological Safety Cabinets and 2 Custom Spec CT1100 Fume Cupboards."
