25/3/2011 20:11 | Well, Friday night, another week gone, the EGM gets closer! I have instructed my nominee to vote AGAINST the resolution. FACT. Anybody else willing to share their voting decision? Pikelock, how about you? Minerve | minerve
24/3/2011 20:22 | Security is another channel that was completely discarded. Shame. Just look at Axis now, thanks to some of my help of course! ;) Motion Media could have, and should have, dominated this market in the U.K. | minerve

24/3/2011 18:28 | so Video Buddy was 'disguarded ..... by whom ? was it the BAD .... Apple ?? | scotty tsquared
24/3/2011 17:59 | "Scotty Tsquared - 21 Mar'11 - 17:51 - 5355 of 5402 Video-buddy ............ with NO friends !!!" Ah, yes the Video-buddy...... Now that was a portable tablet product idea with a sensible sized touch screen to use on the mobile phone networks capable of 2 way video and running other handy applications. The Video-buddy intended to use WiFi and/or Bluetooth to interface with standard mobile handsets or other networks. Had MMD continued that product, they would have had prototypes in perhaps 2003 and a product in 2004. ABOUT 5 YEARS BEFORE APPLE! If key aspects had been patented along the way, and the ex-C-phone engineers were quite good at that, I wonder how things would have turned out. Certainly there would have been some interesting license deals to do when Apple started talking about their i-pad and, who knows, Apple and all their competitors might have had to pay a royality on every unit sold. Video-buddy (I know the name is rubbish but design projects often do have rubbish names)should have had friends and certainly been supported instead of being disguarded. | pikelock
24/3/2011 15:32 | This BB is like the British Cricket Team ....... one goes out ...... they are all out !!! 1 room, 10 computers, 100 names. IMHO DYOR | scotty tsquared
24/3/2011 03:52 | Minerve, I am not referring to a patent, that is my point. An example would be, if a product comes on the market in the states, it is reproduced in the Dominican a few weeks later at a fraction of the cost...protection is paramount, because the product has shareholder investment. Minerve you speak of the vultures, the gannets, and the flies, all there waiting..........for what? What products are they waiting for? MM..products? Tele-health, video conferencing, other companies have taken that batten.... Line of sight......Yes we could buy the product off another company, and fit it to a solution perhaps. Beyond line of sight...with all the action in the sand, (which incidentally started before the recession), we have only supplied the CH-53, and who was a fund holder for the German/Dutch forces. DOsystems have supplied microwave units for the DA42ms to the best of my knowledge !! So what products are the vultures waiting for? My view is KK provides the solution in the engineering sence....as in the CH-53 combining products manufactured by other companies with the Scotty video codec. To me KK is the only shareholder value, or promise of another solution, whether it be line of sight talking to beyond line of sight....talking to a multi sensor network environment? But you can also pull other companies who are working in that arena. The solution for the CH-53 was marketed as 'THE PLATFORM', but has only 'rolled on' 'rolled off' the CH53 since its launch. Why? Cost, weight, microwave is king? If so the company should have been in there years ago !! The shareholders have paid the wages...and for those who haven't played the peaks and troughs, THE THOMAS HOBSON'S CHOICE must be a nightmare!! My view for what it is worth, is the company at its peak was British as in MM, the share price was at its peak for the products and the potential, not just the .com boom, but through home grown educated talent. Like with a football team the recipe must be right for success, experience, youth, enthusiasm, controlled aggression, loyalty, speed, and having the right people in the right positions, otherwise the team ultimately fails. Rebuild the BRITISH TEAM......... What else is there!! 'HOBSON'S CHOICE' IMHO AS ALWAYS DYOR | blodders
24/3/2011 00:21 | Blodders I am not aware of the Japanese company. Based on the MM745? What patent are you referring to? The fact that the MM745 didn't return much for Scotty, or indeed Aupix, doesn't mean the product wasn't worth anything. Neither Scotty, or Aupix, had the know-how to sell such a product. Scotty's skill base was in the wrong channels and Aupix hadn't got any real sales expertise, or appropriate resources, to set-up the right sales channels. Scotty quickly sold the product in a 'fire sale' and mismanaged the sale by allowing its value to be based primarily on future sales, which didn't happen. The same has happened with Tele-health. Bad bad negotiations - which is my point. IMHO & DYOR | minerve
23/3/2011 21:55 | mm745 launched almost nine years ago !! Was it not a Japanese company who brought one out, based on the mm745 shortly after the launch, where was the patent? I believe Aupix my have done a mod (upgrade) for customers, but still needed to be finanaced on further product lines! So where was the value? Can you remember the device being offered to MM/Scotty shareholders at a reduced cost...what was the offer price? And nine years on where is the device now? Last time I looked you could pick one up on the web for £500 but that was some time ago....you can also pick up something similar to the mm145 for about £59 new.!! Minerve your 'BARKING' up the wrong tree !! I would be concentrating on links between....Ocean Consulting GmbH/Pankl Racing Systems, OeKB AG/Volksbank , Invest Equity consulting GmbH, EOSssssss, and any of the individuals who may be inter-linked with those companies. In other words I believe your focus is in the wrong country IMHO as always dyor | blodders
23/3/2011 20:58 | Remember Scotty Group PLC is NOT a charity for 'spin-offs' to start-up, or continue, their business on Scotty Group PLC shareholders' investment. You know the companies I talk of. The vultures, the gannets, and the flies (ScottyTsquared, thinking of you here! LOL), they are all there, waiting.......... IMHO & DYOR | minerve
23/3/2011 17:40 | Remember the 'sale' of MM to Scotty? All that shareholder value in the MM745 that disappeared to Aupix for monkey nuts. How do you think the executives at Aupix voted with respect to the merger? For or against? It is obvious and clear. The vampires will be around again to mop-up technology for next-to-nothing that IE doesn't want. Your shareholder value will be again stolen from you if WE are not careful. Remember the MM745? Remember the tele-health sale? Let us not let it happen again. Watch for those who try to change the subject on this thread! They are trying..... IMHO & DYOR | minerve

LOL It seems like you have an issue with CB. Did he ask for a large piece of cake? Didn't you like that? Seems to me he had every right to ask for it. 23/3/2011 10:07 | It seems to me, that those, apart from maybe one or two exceptions, who will vote 'YES' have other 'more sinister' motives with regards to the sale. Remember the 'sale' of MM to Scotty? All that shareholder value in the MM745 that disappeared to Aupix for monkey nuts. How do you think the executives at Aupix voted with respect to the merger? For or against? It is obvious and clear. The vampires will be around again to mop-up technology for next-to-nothing that IE doesn't want.
