-Suncor is UP a massive 13% at close in today's session.

-Coinbase is UP a whopping 50% in last month.

with a lot more to come as crypto-money gains more traction and more credibility.

Money and banks go hand-in-hand.

If you've got crypto-money, you need a crypto-bank .

Welcome, Coinbase.

Palantir Technologies.

The Revenue Growth tells the story.

Revenues:-

Q1 2019 $146m
Q2 2019 $176m
Q3 2019 $190m

Q1 2020 $229m
Q2 2020 $252m
Q3 2020 $289m

Q1 2021 $341m
Q2 2021 $3.76billion

Full year revenues were $1.09bn in 2020 of which $132million alone derived from the UK.
From the $1.09billion in total revenues, approx 60% was from government contracts.

One thing is certain, governments throughout the world will be dramatically increasing their future budgets on Big Data as a means of running/controlling/monitoring/protecting their jurisdictions.

Once Palantir further expands its scope and geopgraphical footprint of customers both sovereign and commercial, revenues are set to further go stratospheric.

In my opinion, Palantir is on course to become the clear global dominant leader in Big Data collection/analytics.

Some analysts are suggesting a 25x increase in share price over the next few years.

I personally have higher expectations and look to what happened to Amazon's share price once the company became better understood and appreciated.

Today.

Tesla + 12%

Xpeng + 12%.

Xpeng's recently launched P5 sedan costs 30% less than Tesla Model 3.

Xpeng soon to be retailed in UK.

Moderna was slammed at the open today which is probably what triggered dragging SMT down below £14 this afternoon.

arja - let me try to spell it out in words of one syllable. At the time of writing (3.50pm on 1 Oct '21), the NASDAQ is down 0.13%. Meanwhile SMT is down 2.87%, proving a low correlation between the two. Capice? Sadly, I doubt it.

someone told me the share price was not affected much by movements in the nasdaq !
How did that work out today and it is more affected than ATT and PCT it seems ?

Over the long term (last 10 years), it's generally traded between about a 5% premium and a 12% discount (the latter being as recently as Feb/Mar this year). It was more often at a premium between 2014 & 2019, but more often trading at a discount this year. Possibly reflecting greater risk (but also potentially higher returns) from increased exposure to China & unquoted securities?
