An outstanding article in today's FT on page 14's Markets Insights column about Chinese equity markets

Written by Pascal Blanque , Group CEO of Amundi Asset Management and headed:

" Big Picture Appeal of Chinese Assets remains strong ".

He's got it bang on the nail.

Avis Inc rises to $98.

History has repeated itself. Surpassing expectations. Rising + 750% in 16 months since posting.

Post 862 of 8th May 2020 on other bulletin board refers.

Copy herewith:-

"A particularly rewarding trade I made was buying Avis Europe during the darkest days of the '08 financial crash.

Will history repeat itself?

Avis Budget Group Inc (ticker NASDAQ:CAR).

Fifty bucks a few months ago. Crashed to eight bucks in late March. Rebounding quickly. Now at fourteen bucks.

Seems to me that as lockdown lifts, a lot of people will need to hire a lot of cars.

CAR's recent Q1 Statement and Pandemic Response Actions make fascinating reading.

Looking for 400% return over 24months.

Avis surged by a further 10% yesterday as Bank of America raised target price from $90 to $125.

QuePassa.I've been in Bntx for a while and agree completely with your recent comments. But it's frustrating to see the share price retreating so fast during the past couple of weeks. Can you throw any light on why ? Some say because it's not in the S&P 500 so it's not as safe as MRNA, others because it's a foreign company etc etc. But just look at it's pipeline of new products !

SMT coverage of the Crytpo space is currently, Blockchain.com and now Blockstream, British and Canadian companies respectively.Interesting and perhaps telling on the future of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency. Ballie Gifford rarely mis read forward trends.

dexter1612 - think we may be talking at cross purposes. I was referring to quepassa's 1 September post which said: "Herald Investment Trust again makes a new ALL TIME HIGH at 2470p......"

Where is the reference to HIT? Its clear he's referring to SMT and its China holdings.

Sorry, but comments about the Herald Investment Trust aren't directly relevant to a BB that's meant to be focusing on SMT.

It has everything to do with SMT, where the future of 5 of the top ten holdings , including Tesla, are inextricably dependent on the future policies of the CCP

Herald Investment Trust again makes a new ALL TIME HIGH at 2470p.

Herald's big discount to NAV remains a gift for such a pedigree Trust with a NAV per share of some £28.
