You'd need an Nvidia graphics card - ideally GTX 1060 or above - to make it worthwhile.

glen - as they're free from the faucets and via mining, I've accumulated over $100 worth of the wee mites. Hard to mine though, so busy mining another. May come to naught in the final analysis, but one can dream.

Lol, Steely getting the red thumb there 8D

How much are these things worth, Steel and can you see them being worthwhile saving up for the long run?

Planning permission? Check.
Funding? Check.
Top Au grades? Check.
Processing trial? Check.
Sales premium? Check.
Shareholder presentation? Check.
Mine visits? Check.
Capable management? ...........

All this and the share price dips down to the fundraising price - where it still struggles to attract any buyers. In fact, all the 25p bottom fishers are now underwater along with the poor mugs who bought at higher levels.

So, what's the problem? Can you see it? Can you?

Oh dear. Not looking too good for the French asset sale - which was dependent on the French govt being satisfied that the proposed buyer had the cash to meet the licence expenditure commitments…which presumably he doesn't.

In the 15 March RNS, our hapless CEO said: "we are pleased to have attracted a purchaser who can progress the French Licences…" - so it looks like the hapless Gray didn't do enough due diligence.

More to the point, we need to know what these licence commitments are because it looks as though Scotgold will either have to pony up for them or relinquish the licenses for nul points.

Situation vacant!

Och, wee Graham is sounding a tad desperate. Everyone in the City knows the answer to his rhetorical question, "where's the buying pressure to take this even modestly higher?"…

But just for wee Graham and his wee chums, here's the problem that Scotgold need to fix:

The last thing NLR needs is two more mates telling him he can do no wrong when he has already made at least one major blunder.

Not bad at all, Steely. The American guy's a good un too :)

Certainly a lot better than having a non-CEO on the board. And even though it's a cartel, the new board members bring a little long-overdue corporate governance to this shower.

Having a FTSE250 CEO on the board can't be bad 😀

Jobs for the boys! Instead of choosing a couple of old mates as NEDs, NLR would have done better to bring in some truly independent types with more AIM experience and probably more attuned to protecting the interests of minority shareholders.

But any new blood must dilute the damage done by the hapless CEO and with any luck, Mr Hetherington is being groomed to take over that role.

Perhaps the MBO team is now in place. One advantage of keeping the share price so depressed through planning permission and mine funding is that they won't have to bid much to get rid of the minority shareholders.

Lovely set of Scottish gold rings from Cononish and Sheila Fleet on show here ...

No doubt about that! Nice one, Mr. Donaldson.

Hey vfb. I filtered the plonker after telling him where to go. It's a much nicer place with him gone …

So if they don't need more cash, who was the Edinburgh presentation targeting and who benefited? It looks like it was just an excuse for a celebratory booze-up - paid for with my cash. The share price has been on the slide ever since so it looks like another epic fail by our hapless CEO.

The room was obviously papered with fanboys because the questions were soppy. Some of the things that Gray chose not to discuss - and no-one asked about - were:

- How and on what terms will the galena be monetised?
- What was the final Au grade of the stockpile and why was it so much lower than forecast?
- What were the final production/sales and net losses numbers from the BPT?
- Why are we keeping galena in inventory and not selling it?
- Why does Gray think he'll get an RSA grant when their website states clearly that projects which are already funded won't get one?
- When are we hiring an ops director/mine manager who knows what he is doing?
- Why are the planning legalities taking so long?
- Why hasn't Gray been fired for a) destroying shareholder value; b) getting all his targets and estimates to date so wrong; c) failing to attract any institutional finance; d) slack corporate governance; and e) opaque/misleading shareholder communications?

If this mine is happening, for God's sake get rid of the incompetent Gray. Fanboys apart who think they're his mates, no-one surely can have any faith in him to deliver. I reckon the share price would double if he were replaced by someone capable and credible.

I have been "outed" as a shareholder - nothing more, nothing less.

I take it you don't know whether our hapless CEO made any attempt to offer Scottish gold for the rings then. If he did not, that on its own would be a firing offence imho. It could be another 30 years until the next big royal wedding.

Try not to be an ignorant oaf, there's a good chap. Don't let your chums drag you down to their level.
