05/2/2021 13:11 | After the RNO holding RNS on the back of the recent exchanges, bizarrely half an hour after that RNS, Tellworth (part of a group) trimming here too. Essentially what has happened here is the price has had to be bid up from the low 40's by a big buyer to eventually bid 46.5p to find a seller to meet part of their large buy order. That went through yesterday and there were all kinds of big buys so clearly there is notable demand here. Naturally there are sellers on the other side of these exchanges and they have been preventing the breakout with the offer being held at 48p. However, today the market makers are edging up so that big buyer is still bidding strong and there is only one market maker on the offer at 48p now who is only offering 5k. Anything more and it will cost 50p so a possible breakout to come here. The chart is being a mega tease by sitting right at the highs threatening that break higher. Loads of people have sold to the large buyers recently (as per posts above) and taken profits along the way and that's the whole idea - good on you, bank some and de-risk along the way. The demand here has been strong so I have added and hoping for that breakout now. All imo DYOR | sphere25

04/2/2021 09:55 | That's a big chunk gone through there: 2.69m @46.5p. Siginificant exchange for SIS. Will that be the driver of the breakout? All imo DYOR | sphere25
04/2/2021 08:22 | No stock available to buy with market quote @ 44-47 With buying above the Offer again this morning and just looking back at the trades from 21st Jan including 90k @ 49.9, one would think there's a good chance of 50p being cracked on this leg up? | gleach23
03/2/2021 14:03 | Does look like we have cleared the sellers here. Nothing wrong with selling and taking profits along the way of course - good to see! Interesting trade of 48p paid for just 19000 shares. Trade is at a substantial premium to the offer price of 45p. That looks like it has cleared out the bulk of the shares available at 45p. This could be setting up for a move higher. All imo DYOR | sphere25
02/2/2021 14:00 | A little stream of buying coming in here. 16:31 EDIT: Nothing happened, thought it might have been a tip with the stream of buys. Alot of selling here recently, perhaps with this little move up sellers have been cleared. 147.5k mopped up at 42p today too. Possible re-test of the high soon? All imo DYOR | sphere25
21/1/2021 11:49 | Highlighted these at 33p but just want to be clear on the position here and on anything I post on. I have mainly been looking for and highlighting laggard plays and situations like SIS where it looks like the market rating has been too bearish in light of a perceived change of fundamentals. Alot of these have worked and it helps when you have a bullish market, but people are clearly free to do what works for them and sell whenever they want. This market is giving ample time to consider the positions and risk and de-risk accordingly. It won't be like that in the future when tougher times come. I doubt many read my posts (not an important person and small fish) but the few who do will know the buy points have been alot better than the sell points too so always do what works for you. Always encourage folk to find what works for them, even if it is only one thing - rinse and repeat. The longer term holders have been the winners in these markets but that doesn't mean shares like SIS and others are guaranteed to multi-bag or keep going higher. If the bullish outlooks keep coming, then yes they can, but risk is always clearly prevalent and things can change. Alot of shorter term targets have been hit and exceeded so any target posted is just an opinion mainly based on the short term. Just a two penny opinion. All imo Always DYOR Find what works for you. Trade your own way. | sphere25
21/1/2021 11:22 | Getting close to your target... | bbarry8
20/1/2021 16:31 | Added some more. Looking for a short term move to sell near that 50p mark. There are just too many bullish moves out there so expecting SIS to follow suit. Relentless out there. All imo DYOR | sphere25
17/1/2021 17:35 | Great podcast thanks for posting Donald. I remain a little sceptical on SIS but am back in after latest update. Let's see if they are serious about profitability finally | jonesy100
16/1/2021 18:14 | Actually, here's something to get your teeth into. The first way that most manufacturers start to generate profit from increasing revenue is from reduced manufacturing unit cost. After that its more down to fixed overheads becoming a smaller proportion of revenue and reduced sales/marketing cost as products benefit from repeat sales. * cost of sales (manufacturing costs) is usually simple stuff based on material used and direct labour, possibly including apportioned capital cost, to make the products - that should increase gross margin Here's the last few years cost of sales % 39, 40, 43, 56, 55 (the last reported half) So instead of falling, its rising. Possibly sales/marketing costs have been included in cost of sales, but that's not usual. | yump
16/1/2021 17:59 | My view would be very different if there was anything unique about the products. The key will be whether they can make any final profit and maintain it. While revenue expansion is underway, there is always a story to tell and many people will buy into it, simply on the basis of growing revenue. Given a load of money, that is not the most difficult thing to do. | yump
16/1/2021 08:39 | I discussed SIS on the podcast yesterday. Do listen, share etchttps://podcasts. | donald pond
15/1/2021 19:16 | hi lammylover of course your points are all reasonably correct, are you a holder? my strategy is to look forward, and assess the risk reward on that basis. as a starting point they have grown a business to 50m of sales. that business is in a growth area, and has remained steady during the pandemic - so it has something going for it. they talk of 100m sales - in which case that would be an acheivement from scratch for a business yes in the past they have raised funds but say no more will be needed, that makes sense given the business is now getting some scale, but appreciate the proof is also in the pudding. in 2014 sales were 6.5m and 25m shares in issue i.e. there was c.25p revenue per share - the business was loss-making in 2020 sales were 50m on 125m shares i.e. there was c.40p revenue per share - the business is at small profit in the past people paid £1 a share for 25p of los making revenue today one can pay 40p for 40p of profitable revenue at a very simple level the business much better value now. will it succeed - i dont know. but if it does succeed the price could be much higher i am looking at long term risk/reward in particular the chart gives very good turnaround indications. time will tell All IMHO, DYOR + BoL SIS is in my portfolio | thirty fifty twenty
15/1/2021 19:08 | Isn't promotional activity a mainstay of consumer retail activity? Discuss | bbarry8
15/1/2021 17:34 | SIS background: - Not made a penny profit in 5 years - Not paid a penny out in dividends in 5 years - Share price halved in last 5 years - Keep coming back to share holders for fundraisers to prop up accounts - Regular 25-50% discount on products sold to help revenue keep growing - Board keep paying themselves hefty salaries and free shares based on revenue - More promises of jam tomorrow on a regular basis Discuss..... | lammylover
15/1/2021 11:55 | fantastic presentation yesterday by CEO on investormeet. he talked very confidently of a 100m sales target, and at 100m having double digit margins - so thats 10m said that investment in US is small but starting to gain traction. he said they have more than enough CASH. the placing in april 20 but to be cautious and then trading has been much better since. net CASH. i was particularly impressed wiht how he answered all the Q&A - directly and openly. he talks very frankly about challenges and opportunities in the market. as ex global GSK i think mgt team has pedigree. All IMHO, DYOR + BoL SIS is in my portfolio | thirty fifty twenty
14/1/2021 10:28 | I've been looking in occasionally as familiar with the market, but not attracted by the obvious problem that its very difficult to get repeat volume without significant ongoing marketing that doesn't reduce with time. The only thing that reduces is manufacturing unit cost as volume rises. Buying PhD was an interesting step forward I think. I'd like to see them buy up more major brands. Lets face it, none of these brands have any unique benefits, other than the blurb they market with. So if SiS took out a load of credible competitors, their manufacturing and marketing cost per sale should drop, even if they keep the brands going. That would be like the bike market, where several bike brands are actually owned by the same company. Several brand websites selling doesn't cost much - they'd all go to the same source, just like Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles. Wiggle buying CRC created something of a monopoly - went unnoticed by the authorities. | yump
14/1/2021 07:54 | Happy with that update, let's see if it can garnet any interest in the wider market | donald pond

12/1/2021 13:26 | This looks like it is waking up after being asleep for weeks. It is moving ahead of the trading update due on Thursday. I don't know if that is a signal but we'll soon find out if the bearish tides have changed here. All imo DYOR | sphere25
12/1/2021 13:16 | SP movement suggests positive update on Thursday is anticipated- hope so. Need something to kick this to higher plains.... DL | davidlloyd
04/1/2021 12:37 | Trading update at presentation on 14th Jan. Q&A option too, submitted pre event. | bbarry8
04/12/2020 10:18 | Is Science in Sport good value at last? (Updated) Throw enough money at advertising and sales are bound to grow. Profitable growth on the other hand is much harder to achieve, as SIS has demonstrated. However, according to Investor's Champion it's looking more promising. | energeticbacker |
