TRP-2 and gp100 are both crucial to melanin production and are therefore expressed by all pigment producing melanomas. Cloning of T cells from patients, showing spontaneous rejection of their melanomas, identified their targets as TRP-2180-188 and gp100174-190 and indicated that they were CD8 rejection epitopes.7,8 This demonstrated that, at least in these patients, there was a T cell repertoire recognizing self-antigens with sufficient avidity to kill tumour cells. The question remains as to whether an effective vaccine could stimulate these T cells in a wider cohort of patients.

as for proving yourself, the only thing you've proved is that you are WRONG .

LOl ..

you would have to prove the failure of Pd-1 in this area " failure to bind"

anyway the point of my posts and research is to prove to myself .. which i have done

until told otherwise that ""PD-1 fails to bind to High Avidity T cells" because of ????????????? then that is far as we can go

You have every right to follow that and indeed indicate a "higher Risk" even if its not explicit or identifiable

but until it is .. you cannot dismiss my post either

Inanaco - you are describing the mechanism of action not the mechanism of failure. They are 2 very different things and it is simply not possible for you or me to look for and find a mechanism of failure - they are unforeseeable and that is the purpose clinical trials.

I would bet my entire (but slightly depleted today) portfolio that Lindy Durrant would not be able to confirm no mechanism of failure and no risk exists. All she could possibly say is that according to what is known so far there is good reason for combining SCIB1 and PD-1 and testing in the clinic.

Proven, no risk, no mechanism of failure - simply NOT TRUE and I'm surprised that nobody on lse has challenged your posts.

Thanks for your comments, I take your points but I find it difficult to come close to matching your really gracious consideration for others in this case.
I take my hat off to you for seeing good where I'm afraid these days I only see an argument arriving as soon as that name appears! :-)

FWIW I am sure that Inanaco genuinely believes what he is posting and is also genuine in his utter faith in Scancell. There is no doubt that he has spent a huge amount of time researching Scancell and its tech. and I have found his posts useful in the past.

However, this no risk mantra is wrong on so many levels.

Gaz
I'm not actually sure that his lack of understanding is frightening.
My personal take on that situation is simply that I find it difficult to believe that anyone could conceivably be that Thick, Arrogant, Conceited, Lacking in any form of empathy/consideration for others or seeming even to have any form of basic social skills.
So my view is really that he does it mainly to get notoriety on BBs so that his overblown ego can feed on the attention, for as we can all see, it's probably the only way of getting attention having regard for his apparent personality type.
If however I'm wrong, and he genuinely believes in what he writes, I think he deserves our sympathy, not our criticsm.
I wonder which it is?
Who knows, but if he genuinely believes what he posts perhaps we should be more charitable than critical. That's not to say that the fatberg doesn't become so nauseus that many people find the congealing blockages get in the way of a more creative and outward looking flow of ideas and observations.
Maybe I'm wrong.... :-)

Gazza,
his lack of understanding on anything is frightening.
As has been proven time and time again, he's an absolute oaf, with the intellect of the common earth worm.
He knows NOTHING.

hahahaha.... really... " the two shares that you are in or have been, which i have rejected because of associated risk have both had issues ...

IMM went from 11p ish, to £2.... plenty of profit for anyone smart enough.

Whereas, you have not only left your money to rot away to about 10% of its original value over the last 6 years, you have actually wasted even more money on it.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant... what an oaf... You cant make this stuff up... a bloke who's lost nearly ALL of his money on a single stock that has CONSISTENTLY under performed and dropped in price year upon year, has the audacity to claim that other peoples investments had issues ! ! ... I would say that SCLP have more than enough issues, hence the performance of the SP, which is there for all to see.

Classic head in the sand stuff from the resident IDIOT...

I spotted that one too. So ludicrously stupid even by his standards to warrant a comment.

From the same post:

six years and still waiting ISN'T slow???????

Finally, you have said something intelligent:

"your lack of understanding is Frightening .. considering you invest in Scancell"

Providing of course you turn it round and point it at yourself.

Inanaco,

No that is not the point at all so please don't try to deflect from the issue here.

Scancell have only treated 15 patients in the setting of the combination trial - late stage bulky tumours. You can't possibly identify a mechanism of failure (or the absence of one) so stop saying you can.

I am in many shares, including Scancell and the reason for that has been highlighted perfectly today.

The issue is ..

Bermuda .. the two shares that you are in or have been, which i have rejected because of associated risk have both had issues ...

regardless how you traded the share etc ...

Scancell is not into Lupus or Antibiotics ...

i believe the number treated by SCIB1 is 35 ... not 15

Inanaco,

lol even today you still don't seem to understand.

If it were possible for the top scientists in their state of the art labs to identify all mechanisms of failure then there would be no need for clinical trials. Unfortunately they can't. So the idea that you can somehow achieve that via google is bizarre. The whole point is that mechanisms of failure can and usually are unforeseen and unpredictable events.

The above applies to any new drug or any existing drug in a new indication. It also applies to new combinations of existing drugs even if they have individually been successful as monotherapies. It applies even more when one of those has only been through phase I/IIa trials in 15 patients.

If you had read some of the comments from those who have lost money on MTFB today you would delete this part of your 13.59 post on lse yesterday:-

RE: Technical Analysis

the Bio model is far more suitable to my skill sets .. because of the enormous returns when you call the science correctly if you can "prove" up the mechanism of action by using third party research

which is what we have done .........

because of that it gives you confidence ,,, which allows you to ignore the day to day share movements and that is important because if the science is correct the upside will always appear ,,,

which is why i search for the "mechanism of failure" if you cannot find it ... then if you prove the product is commercial, which we have done .. then the share price is irrelevant and the Bet Big proposal by holding many shares comes into play ...

GUFFAW -
It is quite CLEAR to *US ALL*, you are the one who is 'upset' by your LOSSES due to blindly following der leader....NOT listening to SOUND reasoned counsel, offered by several experienced 'old timers'.
.
I might point-out, that, in order to become a 'very calm, relaxed, contented "sweaty old git who mows the lawn and has a beer." One must first own 'a lawn' to mow' and have beers to enjoy.
I suppose the nearest you might get to 'Lawn Mowing' vis a vis your LOSSES, would be 'harvesting KELP'
