TFYes, BP are pursuing the lines they believe will bring the best result quickest and possibly cheapest. I guess our hope is that our trial results will be so compelling that we can no longer be ignored. This will take time imo.

Gazza - you ask a good question - I really don't know.

My pet theory is that most BP Exec's have committed to a line of research with massive funds and their own reputation and career is so vested ? Of course all Big Pharma will have Teams 'looking around' but do they have the level of understanding and clout needed ?

Really if just one BP was really devoted to Scancell's ideas, SO much resource could be put forward as to be able to blast any thoughts of Scancell retaining the IP right out of the sky.

On the other hand, as wigw posted, ''the positive news events earlier in the year were predicted by no one''. And the train of science stands up to 'Patent' examination.

Hard to finger why this is sub 12 pence. GET SCANCELL !

(One for the 'gang of four' to 'larrup').

The moditope patent was granted last month. Seems a little early to suggest there is no interest from big pharma, IMO.

TF ,"Myself I only grasp a modicum about Scancell science - but IF I was BIG Pharma - I'd be saying - GET SCANCELL !!"Presumably the big pharma have people who DO have a better grasp of the science and they are NOT saying get Scancell! You have to ask yourself why might that be?

Hmmm -
It is 'Easy to see' why some might be LULLed into 'overlooking / ignoring' the 'small matter' that the market, values this share at LESS than "the fund raising".
But, one wouldn't take that 'into account' if one ONLY read the 'trHYPE Party manifesto'
Not to mention, How far off...are the planned trials due to begin, How much will they cost, and How will they be paid for ???
.
In the MEANTIME ...There is ???
In the MEANTIME ...There is as always = the 'trHYPE Party manifesto' ???

goosed - re. your 16786.

My guess would be that he didn't have enough cash in his account to cover the annual charges and some stock has been automatically sold to cover the outstanding amount. If so, let's hope he tops up with some cash beforehand next year :)

TF - the positive news events earlier in the year were predicted by no one, as far as I remember, and resulted in a near doubling of the price off the lows. Well done management for progressing the assets through 1) the jv with biontech in TCR 2) non dilutive funding for scib2 through CRUK 3) leadership of high profile consortium for grand challenge. The momentum was swiped by the fund raising - but that is done. Now they need to get the trials going - at which point the story will be developing in the clinic across a far broader array of pipeline products and collaborations than was envisaged a couple of years ago. :)

Gooosed.

I sense a drop in mood in your post.

Easy to be cynical - but we quite appropriately, don't know what's going on every day / week.

Maybe Scancell got a free RNS this time - buy 15 get one free ??

Thanks for all your stuff on here. ATB

''Highlights the pitfalls of buying on the spike (and not buying on the lows)''

Well yes - if we all had the answer to that monster issue - we wouldn't be talking about it at all.

Myself I think there is the 'left field' factor to come - and no one will see it - before it comes around the corner . . .

Myself I only grasp a modicum about Scancell science - but IF I was BIG Pharma - I'd be saying - GET SCANCELL !!

But then, atm, B P are all in their own tunnels and the spot of light is down the end and so on.

Gash - Good of you to add your thoughts -
I was thinking along those 'timescale likes myself', and wondering if the market might be of the opinion that those trials need funding - believing that CRUK money is needed for those trials.
Ergo = Not much / a LULL 'til November at least.
This is NOT my 'personal View'
-
I agree with the "Highlights the pitfalls of buying on the spike (and not buying on the lows)" observation.
BUT... The 'signs' were there, for those WILLING to read them.

Lozan,
It could be a while. All the news about things happening in the next 12 months have been kwown about for a while. These were exiting initially hence a bit of a spike, but I can't see any reason for a rise until there is news that the trials have started and some (positive) data reported.

Highlights the pitfalls of buying on the spike (and not buying on the lows)

Perhaps I'm missing something (entirely possible) but Chiplin has bed & breakfasted 2438 Shs to pay for (supposedly) some SIPP fees - knowing that Scancell would have to pay considerably more than his SIPP fee in order to issue an RNS !? He could & perhaps should just have paid his SIPP fee & prevented Scancell incurring the cost of the RNS.

What value Scancell get from their current Exec Chairman & the San Diego Office will perhaps be questioned at the next AGM !

Bermuda, you posted a link a few days ago to a Presentation that Goodfellow gave in March 2016 , having now listened to the full recording it is very apparent that apart from 3 fundraisings that have diluted the shares by approx. 70% they haven't actually fulfilled one single statement and timescale mentioned. The BOD really haven't doen a very good job for their Investors have they ?

Isn't it strange, how 'decisions' made 'long ago' PROVE to have been the RIGHT 'decisions'.
My 'decision' '15 years ago' to build a 'wet-room' where one CAN 'doff=off mucky/sweaty clobber' walk-in and take a {cold} shower...has just PROVED to be a 'good-un'.
I suppose in my "Anyone else see 11ps beckoning", certain 'chapters' might also CLAIM
"you got it wrong" ???
Time to check the M F F F, to see if *WE ALL* might have missed anything 'interesting'

Chelsea, at long last after all these years you are starting to question the BOD, the penny has finally dropped. As has been shown with their Actions , Deeds and Words they don't give a Monkey's about their PI's and never have done. They have still not submitted the IND which we were originally told was held up by Ichor, it is now allegedly being held up by an anonymous third party. Bearing in mind we the Investors are actually paying for this trial, the Companies salaries and all associated bills why have they not got the decency to inform us who is this third party that is holding up a trial that we were originally told would commence in 2017. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat your Shareholders.
