Tosh, we all get it. It is particularly annoying when someone trespasses onto your own field of expertise masquerading as an "expert". But as onw says, there is a time to let it go. It's like having knocked someone out and then kicking then in the head as they lie on the canvas.

Old, Apologies for the interjection...From what I gather prof Durrant is committed to curing cancer. I guess she thinks the best way of doing this is go cast a net over As many resources as possible. The university supplies a steady stream of new brains and research facilities, the commercialism provides the necessary funding to pursue some of these ideas (or will hopefully). Her goal is to cure all cancers, at all stages, in all people. She obviously believes her current stance gives her the best chance.

ONW,
the guy is even more stupid than i thought, and that is saying something.
He clearly cant understand the most basic of principles, or in fact read basic English.

I will let it go now, but it was important to PROVE that he was wrong. He tried to bully another poster, but it backfired, as all it achieved was to make himself look very very silly.
He made numerous statements that were fundamentally incorrect, in fact as i said a few times, he could not have been any more wrong if he tried.

I worked with equity derivatives for over 23 years, supporting and running a very busy CFD platform, as well as a proprietary tax arbitrage trading book,so if the idiot thinks he can get away with making stuff up, he's very much mistaken.

I've seen a great deal of comment on Prof Durrant's lack of full time "commitment" to SCLP.
How would you interpret her situation. I ask as I don't think it is in any way a lack of comitment but more of something that is not unusual in this industry, and I'd really appreciate your assessment of the matter.
Thanks in anticipation... No rush for this ....

Thanks Boom.
Interesting article and note at the end the summary of Modi 1 offering a promising treatment in mouse models rather than other more dramatic pronouncements.
Did you notice the following article

It's not worth it, and the subject will never go away.
PLEASE for the sake of everyone's sanity STOP.
Because of having to post this the Fatberg's won. He's turned you into the villain, even though you really aren't.
So please leave it alone.

ineptico, you actually made NUMEROUS statements that were conclusively WRONG, and i have proven ALL of them to be WRONG, its just that you dont have the intelligence to understand.
as for .... "Tosh is talking about hedging the difference between all the CFD options on the table "
"Researcher 1 ... is talking about a single option on the table
Huge difference "

I have covered this is the most basic of terms, please read the posts, the answer is there in clear English ... YOU ARE WRONG... Proven.

Now slither back to your rock... All you do with your silly uneducated statements, is fill this BB with utter rubbish, and make yourself look even more STUPID than we know you are already.

Researcher1 is correct, and you are WRONG.

New paper from Lindy Durrant and Ruhul Choudhury has been published in this month's Immunology Journal. Ruhul Choudhury seems to be a recent recruit to LD's team - haven't seen his name mentioned before.

The title of the paper is 'Cancer vaccine: how far are we from curing cancer?' - can be accessed by following links below:-

Tosh, have to agree wholeheartedly. Have issues with the Commercialisation and not Prof Lindy, as you say her science has been let down as much as the companies financial backers ....... obviously then comes .... To Date (we all hope)

P7 - 19450 re. Prof. Lindy - ''Her intransigence sends a very negative message, it says that she is not 100% convinced by it's commercial ability.''

Prof. Lindy's way of working has so far has been very effective in producing a mass of amazing science. Prof. Lindy won't lack imagination on the commercial front and I'm sure Prof. Lindy will be 100% convinced.

But the commercials are not her main preoccupation .

Prof. Lindy's effective work is why we are all here.

P7 - a horse at 100/1 ? You'd be lucky to get that if the Owner, Trainer and Jockey feel that strongly. Bad analogy - keep 'em coming !

I never met you at AGM but from reading your posts about asking questions I am pretty sure I remember you.
I only asked the one question at the start about when the IND was submitted.

Ivy, I think it's a bit like backing a horse in the Grand National after the Owner, Trainer and Jockey have told you it has a great chance. You check the odds and find it is a 100/1 so to cover yourself you back it each way. You then find out when there under starters orders it's never jumped a fence before.

Even more worrying if they bought in much higher.
I took another 50k at 6.8 earlier in week but not sure if was a good or bad move lol

Ivy , agree which suggests that someone can't get out of this quick enough irrelevant of the price, the only ones who would be making a profit at these prices would be Calculus, Hygea or OXT who's original stake I think was at 4.5p.

Yes Panama.Totally confused by what he is calling buys and sells.
Claims all the sells are at 6.61 but all the 150k trades at 6.6 are buys.
Have not seen any trades below 6.6 today so guess they are sells but WTFDIK

Kreature, he can't even tell the difference between buys and sells today. Every buy that he has made all the way from 34p down to 8p has been an absolute bargain apparently.

Tosh,
Well I'd offload some for a 50% profit, and I'd guess plenty more would. Obviously there'll be some who'll hang on, but when you think that anyone buying at 7.5p will be 33% down at 5p (or needing a 50% recovery to break even from that level) the big figures are small but the percentages large!
Anyway, time for other things for a few hours.

ONW,
i make you right.
Anyone who managed to buy a meaningful size will / should off load at least half at a 50% premium, if they have any sense.
Its then a free bet.

Apologies for the CFD stuff, but once again, the idiot tried to belittle someone by trying to pretend that he knew things... The reality was that he actually knew diddly squat.

He could not have been more wrong if he'd tried... A little knowledge and all that.

some people will NEVER understand. Let him prattle on to himself.
Notice how the Fatberg just grows and swamps everything else. Please don't feed it any more. We all know he's unable to grasp the concept.
Remember, the more you put down the drain, the greater the fatberg grows and clogs everything up! Doesn't take too long before the stench makes everyone go away.... except the fatberg that just lays there getting ever more rancid...
