yes but the Government policy has to be based on the next 5 years not one week like TF wants ...
example 2010 austerity had an impact on peoples lives for nearly 10 years ... just to get Gov Borrowing back under control
so this Virus could have the same impact if we don't manage this virus correctly ...
its not just about one area ... that policy decisions are taken
its the effects OFF ... so those calling for a complete lockdown .. might just regret that in 12 months time as more people die because the NHS will be severely underfunded as the recession caused by the virus undermines future earning capacity of the economy |
