What can we now expect?

David Archer

"Further developments on the offtake and corporate alignment side

Series of further resource upgrades

Updates on DFS

Very significant Mutamba project - good progress towards licensing and the award of leases

Similar story in Oman towards progress licensing and award of leases.

News packed few months"

You might not have to wait so long for the next news, Bronco.

Ged,

If they keep up the infill drilling as well as the expo drilling, there'll be more firmed up to M&I. Each hole is getting good intercepts, whether its exploration or infill.

Ed.

So 13.4Mt that can be used in the Feasibility Study. I expect more drilling results over the next few months.

Good news. Has been a bit of a news lull of late so need this sort of momentum.

Jones,

Definitely, very good increase in tonnage from what has been a decent % of expo drilling recently. More importantly as well as increasing/potential to further increase tonnage on the five discoveries is the reclassification. Big jump today on the M&I which is very important for the DFS due next Q. Progressing well into a significant player in lith concentrate production. I guess we'll get some more assays on the new discoveries soon and then onto the DFS. We'll hear more in the upcoming finals, if they're similar to last year they'll be this week or next (13/4/18)

Regards,
Ed.

jones,

I would go as far as excellent news.

~17% increase in overall JORC compliant Mineral Resource Estimate for the Project, which now stands at 23.5Mt at 1.02% Li₂O for 241,000t of contained Li₂O

Part of David Archers conclusion "This is the fourth major increase in the Mina do Barroso Mineral Resource and it has been achieved in less than 14 months."

GS

HG,

Yes they've been quiet on Oman for some time and I guess they must still be waiting for the assays from that drilling. I guess we'll hear something very soon, finals came out last year on 13th April.

Ed.

Sav announced additional drilling at Oman months ago. Heard nothing since.... Look like Oman Government just not interested. Must be 2 years behind the forecast timelines now?

Ged,

I have put Moz and Oman to one side. I am in for Portugal. Moz & Oman when they come good, (I feel they will) great.

biopop,

Dates given for mining licences in Oman and Mozambique but nothing for results.

They will all be announced someday. Well the results will be. ;-))

paleje, thanks for your earlier post.

Interesting snippet a few posts back on the lithium market by the way GD.

Thanks GD.

Well since it doesn't happen too often recently, thought I'd just post that we're up today.

Sorry to wake you.

More to digest.

Lithium imports rise into Japan and South Korea despite fall in China
• Lithium hydroxide imports into Japan rose by 79% in in February yoy to 2,687t according to (S&P Global)
• Lithium carbonate import into Japan also rose by 53% to 2,707t
• South Korean imports of lithium hydroxide also rose by 45% to 950t and for lithium carbonate by 28% to 3,353t
• China imports fell by nearly 100% to 45kg of lithium hydroxide from 656t a year earlier and by 58% for lithium
carbonate to 720t from 2,517 a year earlier
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMHO Imports to China will resume. "In recent years, China, the biggest global consumer of lithium, has been snapping up stakes in mining operations in South America and Australia, the principal global sources of the metal – derived from
brine flats in South America and spodumene ore in Australia. In South America alone, China has reportedly invested $4.2 billion in lithium deals in the past two years. It has also been tightening its grip on the supply of cobalt,
another important lithium-ion battery component.

Beijing’s buying spree has worried electric battery- and EV-makers in Japan, South Korea, and Europe.
But China has not had it all its own way. In a recent reversal of fortunes,
a German company beat off a Chinese challenge in Bolivia – which has one of the world’s largest reserves of lithium –to secure a deal to build a plant mining the country’s biggest deposit. Most of the output will go to Germany, which lobbied heavily for the deal that includes the construction of a rechargeable battery plant

My conclusion is SAV lithium at Mina do Barroso asset will be held on to very tightly.

When mining starts and gets into full swing and then lithium when process will go to selected European EV manufactures.

GD

Scientists at Tohoku University and the High Energy Accelerator Research Org have developed a new
complex hydride lithium superionic conductor that may result in all-solid-state batteries with the highest
energy density to date.
• The new material shows markedly high stability against lithium metal making it better anode material for allsolid-state batteries.
• This offers the potential to address the energy density issues in conventional lithium-ion batteries.
• This new solid electrolyte exhibits high ionic conductivity and high stability against lithium metal representing
a breakthrough for all-solid-state batteries that use a lithium metal anode.

Interesting news. I take as an overall positive for large and small Lith miners with good tograt assets.

Edison did a small feature in the week, it wasn't about us it was about recovery rates but we featured in it and were amongst the highest in our peer group.

Thanks paleje for alerting about the cyclone. I emailed this morning. Others must have done as well since we've now had confirmation the company is unaffected.

"All #Mutamba Joint Venture staff safe and Jangamo camp unaffected by devastating #CycloneIdai in #Mozambique - all our sympathy to those who have so grievously suffered: Over 1,000 feared dead after cyclone slams into Mozambique "

A terrible tragedy to lose family and homes. The cyclone season is coming to an end which is no consolation to those who have suffered. Let's hope there are no more disasters.

OT Since I brought it to this threads attention I think I should mention that although I bought FDBK with a 2-3 year view I am extremely disappointed in the lack of sales. However if FDA approval is forthcoming in the next financial year I think things will change dramatically. I'll send further thoughts via PM.
