Malcy's thoughts;

This is good news from San Leon, obviously the first payment having been received is a major step and the rest of the pieces of the jigsaw will fall into place. This includes TRAM buying a stake in SLE at 30p with further options higher up, and paying off Toscafund and creditors.

But it really is only the start of the next phase for the company, plans to buy a bigger stake in ELI opens up San Leon to the valuable pipeline and infrastructure system from OML18 with concomitant increased profitability.

The combination of all this means that when the shares return from suspension, shortly it seems there is considerable upside from the last time they were traded. I interviewed Oisin Fanning when the deal was announced, in case you didn’t see it I repeat that interview below.

It is very exciting, but I wouldn't count on it happeningm in exactly two weeks. Oisin was very coy in his responses about the resumption of trading.

The interview was a very mumbly affair between the two aging walruses, however I took from it that OF and SLE are sitting very pretty atm - which means by association so are us holders. £££

Trading to recommence in the latter half of November, however OF's body languauge when responding to Malcy's question about the relisting spoke volumes! He has no idea, but hopes it will be in November.

I wish i could understand all this. The interview passed largely over my head i must say. I just hope OF is as astute as clearly he needs to be. Is he going to deliver? It looks more likely now as far as I can tell and there is a lot of potential money involved and to be created. I'm mainly interested in dividend resumption, but it sounds like a medium to long term play. He didn't mention the accounts. Do these need to be signed off & issued pre the re listing.

So, it must be time for us all to speculate on the price of SLE upon it's return from suspension!

Given the news we already have, I am going to suggest a return to market price of 42p.

This is a spectacularly good deal from SLE that way exceeds any expectations I had ahead of the news. Obviously it is a complicated deal as it encompasses TRAM funding SLE and then SLE injecting much needed money into ELI and other opportunities. TRAM will become a shareholder in SLE at 30p plus warrants at 60p.

The Canadian background to the investors means that they are expert in the pipelines business and can see the substantial potential rewards available through San Leon’s position in Nigeria. The ending of the RTO is clearly very good news and shareholders could see the quote restored within a matter of weeks.

I have spoken to Oisin Fanning and will add more tomorrow, I am interviewing him in the morning so we should all get much more detail then and be able to put serious flesh on the bones of this fantastic deal.

Incredible news. This is massive. The investment today plus what's already owed by Midwestern amounts to $400 million in net asset value just in terms of cash. This pipeline is just going to throw off huge amounts of free cash flow !!!
