and we should remember that Martin Hughes has been consistently one of the top performing fund managers over recent times. he would not be backing Oisin to the extent he has unless he totally bought into the story. the fact that he very recently bought more shares in san leon and took Tosca's holding through 75% tells us everything we need to know about the company's immediate prospects

No big rewards without taking big risks. No guarantee. Depends if one is prepared to take and accept them. That s what is happening here, and what hedge funds do best. Tosca has been invested (and invested increasingly) in San Leon for almost 10 years now with so far not much to show for but they obviously like and believe in Oisin's story (they will also be more privy than we do). Tosca is not here for fun. They are here to make money, like most of us are. If and when Sle eventually succeed, pay day will be huge. And that is why we and mostly Tosca are all hanging around here still waiting patiently.

Do you know Tosca has been supporting this stock for many years, on many different strategies on many different projects - all of them failures. Go and take a look at the historical record.

@alaric7 - How exactly do people short this stock? It's too small for there to be many shares available on a broking platform. Most spreadbetters don't offer it. IG does but the position size is limited to less than £5k - and the spreads and financing costs make it too expensive to short with all spreadbetting platforms.

I suspect that professional hedge funds may have access to brokers that provide it for shorting, but not possible for the retail investor.

from 21p low to a close at 27.5p. hilarious the shorting Trolls got one hell of a beating today for sure. Glavey must be missing Chartrader, who now resides in Trollheim ( a bit like Hades but for Trolls who have sinned). couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

I am a long term holder, holding out for the completion of the deal. I might take a slug at this low price on the basis that Tosca are still supporting this stock, which is a key factor

Because I think it's £0, excluding the loan which would be in default if it wasn't for the extensions
