CEO Oisin Fanning is right to be disappointed with this further delay in the refinancing but by the very nature of it it has been a ‘frustrating’ time without any ability to actually make things happen. The big advantage here is that the size of the prize will make up for it significantly, hopefully quite shortly.

Whilst this has meant a delay in the results and subsequent suspension operationally, things are actually going pretty well in Nigeria. Once ELI gets its permit renewals to allow the start up of full terminal operations, which will enable crude oil exports and generate cashflows due to San Leon followed by repayment of loans.

So, whilst the suspension is indeed a disappointment, there is nothing here that makes me think that investors should throw the baby out with the bathwater and will indeed be richly rewarded if they exercise patience and hang on in there.

As holders of Aim stock we all know the risks of investing in them.

Some reap huge rewards, most do not.

One has to speculate to accumulate!

I was lucky enough to get out at 44p, although I did take a small position in PVR (now BEY) and SLE afterwards, I'm just going to count these as zero from now on. Sorry guys, but jam tomorrow can only last so long. It won't go bust I'm sure, but everything will be highly diluted and PIs won't have any say in the matter

I sold out at 23p. A big loss considering I got in around 35p. I was so annoyed that I'd actually kept putting up with annopuncements that kept saying "it's difficult to forecast". It really isn't if you're honest. You forecast conservatively. Always. Don't keep coming back and repeatedly disappoint. Poor, poor management.

This is not great news, however I will remain a holder (for better or worse). My stake was made speculatively and is sized accordingly.

I can't blame anyone who wishes to sell now.

The last suspension lasted from June 2021 until July 2022 FYI.
