It's quite normal for the price to pull back to the placing price but I don't think it did here at the last placing.
How about hedging bets and buying half the position now and see if it drops before buying more.

Get Lake Way up and running and then move the development crew on to the next lake and what is the stock worth then ? More than $0.95/sh I'd guess.

Have a look at Compass in the US. Trading on an average P/E of 16.0x over the last 2-years. Bloomberg showing normalised earnings for SO4 of c.$30m from just Lake Way...that's c.$0.5bn...total shares on issue post financing will be 550m, so c.A$0.90 - 0.95/sh.

Again, from just one lake.

Macquarie analyst dropped target price by 5% on the back of the funding...now at A$0.95/sh. That's 55p...and the Macquarie analyst only values all the other lakes at a total of A$50m. Ridiculous.

Some different ways to play this to try and arbitrage.
I've sold 20% of my holding (I was already overweight) at just over 30p and will try and get them all back in placing at 27.45p.

Alternatively you could try and buy more now to increase your allotment in the placing and then sell the placing shares at a later date for profit.
This is all assuming you/we don't get scaled back in the placing.

..or you could just ignore and buy more shares post placing possibly close to the placing price.

A perfect opportunity for investors to scale in and average down as the project has significantly derisked.

I continue to remind myself of the free cash flow and net asset value. This stock should now rerate by 150% minimum and is an excellent long term hold.

Placing somewhat annoying but financing risk removed and I wonder if debt is harder to get hold of in the current environment especially now they have committed to the current schedule.
On the flip side, the lower debt should be paid off more quickly.
