In the latest from Kantar Tesco and Asda were up the most, followed by the Co-op meanwhile Sainsbury, Morrison, Aldi, Lidl and Ocado all fell back a little.

Morrison have been the biggest surprised for me over the past 18 months considering they took over the 1,150 McColl's convenience stores and yet have consistently still been losing market share. Without the McColl's take-over, Morrisons market share would be circa 0.4% lower then it would be today.

Always important to remember Kantar never includes M&S in their figures who have circa 3.6% market share, therefore the market shares that Kantar gives need to be reduced accordingly.

I hear that Sbry will also be moving the crisps and cakes closer to the clothing aisles so the, ahem, larger customer need only waddle the short distance from there to the N Brown XXL range......

Canny, eh?
