11/1/2023 13:37 | You are right I don't think there are any simple solutions.If they don't match Aldi ect then those customers who buy those products and then buy other higher margin products may not return.They have made cost savings but you only have to look at the size and design of a typical Aldi store compared with the huge aging typical Sainsbury's stores to see it's impossible to match them on costs.Have mixed feelings about online I agree the profitability when you look at all the costs involved can not be great but in this day and age can they really afford not to be in h that market Morrison's tried it years ago but relented eventually No easy answers here I feel. | tim 3 | |
