13/9/2022 04:06 | Some news sources saying Sainsburys to close all supermarkets on Monday Don't know if that is correct yet Not much point opening that day anyway I guess | spob
12/9/2022 21:39 | For once I agree with BB! Bought in here today. It was a toss up between SBRY and TSCO. I decided on Sainsbury in the end due to the higher yield and lower market cap making this a more likely takeover target imho. There's not many UK food supermarkets left to choose from with Morrison's and Asda having already been snapped up by foreign predators. Hence the inclusion of MKS in the header comparison chart. If there's any largish UK listed food supermarket I've missed let me know and I'll include it in the comparison chart. Just remembered Ocado but that always strikes me as a bit of an outlier. I'll add it anyway. | bountyhunter

04/9/2022 20:35 | Germany announced today that it will be spending another 65 Billion Euros to support households So all the other Euro countries (19 in total) will be proportionally to GDP, spending this amount courtesy of "borrowing" newly printed currency from the European Central Bank, which will never be paid back by our "I owe you nothing" societies. This will be highly inflationary, but people don't understand this stuff and the inflation will happen in a years time after the sugar rush and a further run on the Euro PS. Expect the UK to follow with possibly £50 billion from Liz Truss | muffinhead |
