Saga plc, the UK's specialist in products and services for life after 50, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eva Eisenschimmel as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2019.

Eva has extensive experience as an executive and a non-executive director both in traditional brand and emerging consumer financial services environments, including directly relevant digital technology. She has held a variety of roles including marketing, operations, customer and stakeholder relations in banking, at British Airways, Accenture, EDF Energy and in FMCG businesses. Of particular note, she was responsible for the Executive Club at British Airways, with three million members at the time.

She is currently Chief of Staff and a member of the Executive Committee at Lowell, one of Europe's largest credit management service companies, with more than 4,600 employees and an Enterprise Value of GBP3.2 billion.

Until the recent acquisition by CYBG, Eva was a Non-Executive Director of Virgin Money, where she worked closely with the executive team on the development of the Virgin Money brand, as well as on its digital offering. She was a Member of the Audit, Nomination, Remuneration and Risk Committees. Before this, she was Chief Marketing Officer at Lloyds Banking Group, where her responsibilities included all brands plus Digital and Telephone Banking.

Eva does not currently have any interest in shares in Saga.
