IMHO, the shares will go up by about 2p, once they have reached 140p.

portside1: It was an (attempted) stag for me, filled with indecision. I applied. Then withdrew. Then bought on the market shortly after open -a position since liquidated.

I note your opinion that SAGA may be on it's way to 170 short term and I would be inclined to agree.

A customer offering £1500 at the float got 630 shares plus refund.

Holding for 12 months gives that customer an 31 extra and a ludicrous total of 661 shares.

Why stint on relatively low customer allocations?

teto, all applications for £1000 received 540 shares...application met in full, for above £1000 applications were scaled down.
Employees applications have been met in full.

Why does 'stag' have to be a dirty word?

We all recognise the market as a way to make money. Why should the absolute mechanic of it matter?

Saga Share Offer

I am pleased to inform you that the Saga Share Offer has been a great success. Your application for Saga shares has been successful and the number of Saga plc shares you have been allocated is shown below.
Due to the heavy demand you may not have been allocated all of the shares you applied for. A refund (if any) for the difference will be paid directly into your debit card account on or around 29 May 2014.
Your allocation details are as follows:

This is always a problem, getting back your cash which the company are using over and above your application, not likely to happen in this case, but companies have gone bust and the cash disappears with them.

Risky thing stagging

Think that is a fair comment. Its rare that I hold any IPO for longer than a week.

Doesn't always work out - sold most too early (particularly RMG) but looking at the record some of the others have struggled and it was worth selling out. I know there was some negative press about this one - but the grey market price indicated it would give a bit of a premium.
