Julien Roch reiterated an Overweight rating on the stock with a price target of 550p. Barclays analysts further added, “S4 Capital shares are way too cheap, as the market is already pricing the risk of a recession into the shares.

If one plays it right s4 will not only shoot up dramatically from here but also prove to be a once-in-two-or-three-years type of opportunity. Caveat - ftse needs to play ball for above thesis to play out (odds are it will - we had a very significant b/o there on 31 March in decent volumes)

Friday's move seemed a bit exaggerated, no doubt due to market sentiment.
Wouldn't be surprised to see this back over 60p again very soon ...

Auson, I was going by what trades were being reported this morning on ADVFN. A 4% spread is ridiculous IMO.

There's a S4 shareholder over on the other board who claims to own more than 2m shares in S4. He does trade and always say's when he trades and gives prices, just now he claims to have purchased 100,000 shares, however he always says that his trades never get reported. Strange, I have no reason to doubt this trader, so why does his trades not show up? I can only think that they are off book.

NigeCo,

Not sure the spreads can be believed. They are offering me 57p to sell quite a few, and 57.13p to buy a small amount.

Sure thing but this is not a hyper liquid stock (part and parcel of S4) and that is understandable. If anything, it shows that liquidity providers are trying to get folks to trade (which is perfectly normal as that is their business) but there are no sellers coming through even after a very sharp +50% rise.

Tongosti, its the large 4% spreads that I don't like, its putting me off adding. While this is nothing new with regards S4, it is to the extreme today.

Nige,Volumes dropping on regular pullbacks are part and parcel of well behaved uptrends. That's exactly what we want as a matter of fact - volume increases on b/o's and volumes drying up on pullbacks IMO. So far it's all good I think.

Bid price 55.40p Ask price 57.75p..... 2.35p 4.15% spread. Ridiculous for a penny share. Volume dropping off a cliff, I wonder why.

Had you paid heed to yours truly you would have loaded up between 38 to 44 rather than call folks names. Context and all old chap. You too enjoy your weekend.

100%. I didn't wait patiently for years to load up big time at the exact point just M to bail out for a quick profit. If trend remains well behaved one could produce the profits of 2-3 years (with any luck) in a few short months in turnaround stories.

Nige - that was not my post my good man. It is another imposter (alias ending with L mine is i) who stalks me on these boards. Would suggest you filter the imposter. I have bet the ranch here now being on a free roll with the trend being up. Unless the trend bends I will continue to stay IN!Come on s4 - show us what you've got!

Tongosti, good trade mate. While I don't blame anyone taking a profit, with the share price currently up 62% since 18th March a pullback would be healthy, however I do think that there is far more upside to come, we're only just getting started. Volume is good, follow the money.
