looks like the shares have got hammered at the end of play. So many times any relative strength in the day has been lost by a weak close. Has happened so many times. Anyone have a view on this?

i got hit badly with shorting the dow jones, that#s what really got me, i'd prob add here now if i wasn't in such trouble

I feel for you 2bung, like I said I was in the same situation. Could take the emotional punishment this stock kept handing me out. There seems to be big movements today, so fingers crossed the news is good on the 18th!

agree rise, however I think that aim oilers may be about to come back into fashion, the few that I follow are starting to look perkier than they have done, the markets have rallied but mining/commodities havent....Im going to try and nick some more at the end, although looks like it might end on the days high

Well, I won't be buying until I see the results, I have been here before......its dropped from 200 to 22.....it can't go any lower...can it? Well from bitter previous experience I know the answer to that!
They still need to sort out their funding so if that has been done without further dilution to current holders then there should be some opportunity for gain.

Its risky, with big risk comes big reward, in other words its a gamble;) I hope I can recoup my losses here, after which I will never get involved in the AIM market again!

with previous updates, nothing would suprise me here. I wouldnt want to be short however from today, despite the chart, the upside outways the down on the back of expected news (which the share price is allowing for poor news as well) So any improvement, or better than expected results could mean bottom touched imo. Then again..like I said nothing would suprise me here!

very few buyers of this stock, they need to get a very good rns out on monday to regain trust, i think they'll do it but i can't average down as i'm completely overleveraged as it is

no, this is in the top 5 of shares being shorted - if there's a squeeze the share price will recover bug time

not many shorts out there 2Bung, also wont take alot to move the sp,as the number of shares out there isnt huge either...all it will take is for a decent report, with the heat exchanger working properly, production back up, and rerating should follow. Plus arent some sort of tax breaks due from the russians ?..sure ive read theyve been promising them this 1/4?

Ive gambled here,looking for a short term long trade on the back of news. The directors were fancied at listing, the institution's liked them, the reserves appear huge, they were making money.... The recent performance is appalling so the pressure is on to put out better results than the share price suggests.

i got a positive response from the company a while back when i contacted them, but i won't be averaging down - 55p for breakeven for me.

I have liitle sympathy for people who whinge after buying shares which go wrong but I think there are alot of issues here. obviously buying this share would be in the high risk category but it has in fact performed like a binary bet on a takeover which failed to happen. The PR here has been disastrous -crazy releases post market close on Xmas eve or was it New Years eve hoping no one would notice! statements being contradicted shortly after issue -it seems that everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
The issues are compounded by the fact that the share price should never have risen so far so fast. It must be one of the fastest collapses from 200p to 20p ever seen.
I paid in the 90s so the loss is material -but its only paper till crystalised.
Lets hope for better news next week.

Im so tempted to take a punt at these prices to average down ahead of the announcement on Monday.. it would be a pure gamble though, looking at the buys today I assume others have done the same..

sell tomorrow or hang on till the prelims on Monday. Its not entirely obvious what to do. What an utter shambles this is. Even the company brokers seem like headless chickens here.
The Chairman of this company was once ceo of Johnson Matthey and a highly respected figure in industry. How he allowed himself to be involved in this pile of sh'one't is beyond me. he should hang his head in shame.
