No idea, have wondered about the bounciness in price myself on low volumes. Barrel price is a bit on lower side at minute which might subdue any upward movement in price while we wait for company update on the 19th Nov. Would really like a bit more in the way of news from the company to keep us informed for better or worse, hopefully no news is good news i.e. on target. Hard to watch tho but at least only ended down 0.7, looked a lot worse earlier on.

Q3 interims due the 19th Nov, share price may well rally slightly in anticipation of these. Progress with the following should give it a kick.

- Production will accelerate strongly through to the end of 2012. Target unchanged for 2012 production exit rate of 10,400 bopd

The £1 level does look strong, though who knows how many times it can bounce down again..

Nice to see plenty of performance related bonuses. Wonder who decides what 'exceptional performance' entails? Plenty of long dated options in there too for them so hopefully in to win though the latest directors deals are not massive, guess we trust the management to produce the goods. Lets hope this uptake continues need another 20p for B/E!

I've updated the header with details of directors remuneration, which is in excess of US$4m for executives and non-executives. The recent non-executive director dealings should be taken in the context of the fees those non-executives are receiving, which are considerably higher than what they have spent purchasing shares.

Have a look at director buys. Forget ADFN buys/sells: its meaningless, look at volume instead.

A bit of a pop today. Why? Low volumes and more sells than buys so anyone got any theories as news from the company is zero. This price bounces around like crazy bearing little or no relation to share buying or selling can anyone shed a little light on this?

James, if you are looking for the longer term and you believe this is worth adding to your portfolio a bit of movement either way isn't going to hurt you.

Personally, I am not adding to my holding until after the IMS. If that means I pay more, so be it, but at least I will be more informed of what the picture is like for further ahead, and if that picture doesn't appeal I won't take any action.

I used to get hung-up over the price all the time, now I care more about the bigger picture, and have done better for it.

As always DYOR.

Thanks Bruce. Thinking about going for it end of month or if it drops further pending interim statement

I keep my eye on it. Was in earlier in the year when a recovery was looking likely, but got out in August as the share price started to falter. Similarly with JKX. I currently hold EXI.

Thanks for the response. Are you looking to get in at some point?

I'm not sure that you need so much of a 'reason' for the drop, and shared concerns around Russian Eastern European oilers, eg exi & jkx. The £1 could be a strong support and basis for recovery, if it doesn't slip below.. Currently do not hold.

Interim management statement 19th November. Not sure we will hear much before then. They have the assets and management here with lots of director buying so a good prospect as far as I'm concerned. I sold on the drop at 120 (at a loss from 145). looking to get back in, just not sure when! I don't fully understand the reason behind such a big drop in the first instance...
