French Government Tells LPG Suppliers To Make Contracts Lawful





PARIS -(Dow Jones)- The French government Monday told suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas they must bring their contracts in line with consumer law.

An investigation by France's General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control, or DGCCRF, has found that many contracts for LPG supply contain unfair or unlawful clauses, Finance Minister Christine Lagarde and junior minister for trade Herve Novelli said in a joint statement.

The contracts in question--often to rural populations not connected to gas networks--prevent customers from changing supplier and are a barrier to competition with other forms of energy, the ministers said.

The ministry and DGCCRF weren't immediately available to comment on which suppliers are concerned.

The French Committee of Butane and Propane lists six vendors of bottled and tank gas in France: UGI Corp.'s (UGI) subsidiary Antargaz; Royal Dutch Shell PLC's (RDSA.LN) Butagaz; SHV Gas' Primagaz; Repsol SA (REP); Total SA's (TOT) Totalgaz and Rubis SA's (RUI.FR) Vitogaz.

shammytime follow my links too information system associates inc. they are funding us and are a big player stateside.our software can be used in many areas globally.a 100k loss at results.any contracts will multiply this share price they also gave us a substancial upfron payment.dyor as always way undervalued and overlooked.imho
