07/12/2011 23:06 | so in effect LONR Mkt Cap increased by £16m today on the back of this upcoming deal Industrial mini-conglomerate Lonrho rose 12.5 per cent to 11¼p on further optimism about its possible collaboration with EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou to launch an African airline. | jermaine77
07/12/2011 22:39 | sweepie2 sounds right to me. Lenigas and Stelios are good mates - they both live in Monaco so i can see this taking off (excuse the pun). Very cheap in my opinion to invest in this management team (talking about Stelios et al and not Lenigas)- would have been alot higher a year ago | looky
07/12/2011 17:25 | Someone is deliberately choosing to confuse the issue here IMHO . . . Lonrho are taking a 12.7% stake at 1p as part of the placing announced on 18/11/11 . . . Stelios is only currently taking a 5% stake . . . he has an option to take a further 10% stake . . . If Stelios and his team decide they have a viable business proposition there may well be an RTO of an airline business and/or a placing and/or loans . . . who knows . . . but the value placed on potential assets, future turnover and profitability, brand name, Stelios, etc may compensate for any potential dilution . . . or it could go wotsits up . . . that's the gamble IMHO . . . "easyGroup will provide branding advice to Rubicon which, if accepted, would lead to an agreement under which easyGroup will provide Rubicon with exclusive rights to use the fastjet.com brand for an initial period of twelve months. Following this period, provided the Company has taken delivery of a western standard jet aircraft liveried as fastjet.com or completed a substantial transaction which is classified as a reverse take-over under the AIM Rules, Rubicon's rights to the fastjet.com brand would continue on a perpetual basis. Should no such transaction occur within 12 months, all rights in the fastjet.com brand would revert to easyGroup with no further obligations on either party." "David Lenigas and Geoffrey White, chairman and chief executive of Lonrho, are due to join Rubicon's board if the company's shareholders approve the move on December 13. Lonrho, which already controls African airline Fly540, is due to secure a 12.7 per cent stake in Rubicon after participating in a share placing that raised £400,000 for the company last month. Sir Stelios and Lonrho already have a commercial partnership. In July, Lonrho signed an agreement to use Sir Stelios' EasyHotel brand for a network of 50 hotels operated by the conglomerate across Africa by 2016." | cufes2
07/12/2011 16:23 | Looking to get back in around those levels - i.e 4p - | tomboyb
07/12/2011 16:18 | Share issue at 4p? | sweepie2
07/12/2011 15:57 | There are 2 ways this can be funded a reverse take over or a share issue, My bet is on a reverse take over | yashdi
07/12/2011 14:00 | LMAO . . . oh the irony . . . graco4 - 7 Dec'11 - 13:56 - 235 of 236 too much energy wasted on you pair. Like talking to dum and dummer. A placing is the only way i can see this being funded. | cufes2
07/12/2011 13:58 | Graco-1/2/3/4 Lionman-1/2/3/4 Oneday-jakkata/mrmiy | kinghorm23 |
